A year ago, my family and I made the move back home to where I was born and raised. It was an exciting new chapter, but it also brought an unexpected challenge: learning how to rebuild a business from the ground up in a highly saturated market.

By the grace of God and some incredibly faithful clients, I have successfully owned and operated my cleaning business since 2018. For eight years, I was fortunate—word-of-mouth kept my schedule full, and I never really had to learn the grueling art of cold advertising. Today, I still drive daily to my original service area to take care of the clients who got me here, but my goal is to plant deep roots in my new community.

Admittedly, the transition has been a lesson in humility and persistence. Showing up to local networking events as the only cleaning professional in a room full of corporate consultants and beauty studios made me feel like an outsider at first. But entrepreneurship isn't about staying in your comfort zone.

Some days the motivation is hard to find. Other days, I feel like I can conquer the world. But every single day, I choose to show up.

What sets me apart isn’t just eight years of expertise; it’s the genuine pride, drive, and dedication I pour into every space I touch. The market here might be crowded, but I know the value I bring. To my fellow business owners grinding through a transition period: persistence is key, it doesn't happen overnight, and no matter what, we don't give up.

The first picture…Looks clean right? The second picture is actually what was growing under the rim of the toilet bowl. 🤢 See, many people don’t think to look in these hidden areas. That orange/pinkish colored mildew ring that mysteriously appears in your toilet bowl just a few days after you “cleaned” it…This hidden area under the rim of your toilet is causing that ring to appear just a few days after!
