Level 1 or Level 2 inspection - which one do you actually need?

Level 1 - the basic annual inspection. A visual check of the readily accessible parts. Right for a chimney in regular use with no known problems.

Level 2 - the thorough one. Adds a camera scan of the entire flue, plus attic, basement and crawl space. Required when you are buying or selling a home, after a chimney fire or serious weather event, or when you change fuel or appliance.
