What a day! 🎉Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate 55 years of Steamway with us yesterday. Seeing so many familiar faces (and meeting some new ones) meant more than we can say.

A big thank you to Ames Regional Economic Alliance for the ribbon cutting! We’re proud to be part of this business community, and we’re grateful for the support.

A few favorite moments from the day:
* Our welcome table, where the party (and the basket drawing) got started.
* The Memory Lane table, 55 years of photos and stories that got a lot of “Look at this!”
* The live rug washing demo, a behind-the-scenes look at how we bring rugs back to life at Rug Rehab by Steamway

Did you know Steamway has its own rug cleaning studio? Rug Rehab by Steamway is where area and oriental rugs get the deep, hands-on cleaning they can’t get at home.

55 years in Ames, and we’re celebrating with you!

Join us for our 55th Anniversary Open House next Wednesday, October 14th, from 11:30 to 2:00 at 1602 E Lincoln Way. The ribbon cutting with Ames Regional Economic Alliance is at noon.

Noah will be doing a live demo in the shop. We’ll also have a couple of giveaways to say thank you, and 55 years’ worth of photos to bring back the memories.

It's Fire Prevention Week, and we want to help you protect your home.

Take a look at the vent on the outside of your home. If it looks like this, the line behind it needs attention. And even if it looks clear, lint collects inside the vent line, past where the lint trap catches it. It's the leading cause of home dryer fires.

One of the simplest things you can do is have your dryer vent cleaned!

Dryer fires are more common in fall and winter, peaking in January. That makes October a good time to get it done, before the holidays and the heavy laundry season.

Our Craftsmen clear the vent line from the dryer to the outside of your home, and all October it's half on us when you book it with any other service.
