Hi there, this is Bago Plumbing and Drain Cleaning Services, with a few tips on protecting your home and your plumbing from freezing.
Winter’s Coming
As temperatures drop, your plumbing system becomes vulnerable to freezing, bursting, and costly damage. Here are a few simple steps you can take to winterize your home and avoid plumbing headaches:

Disconnect Outdoor Hoses, leaving hoses attached can cause water to back up and freeze inside your pipes. Drain and store them safely.

Shut Off and Drain Exterior Faucets Turn off the water supply to outdoor spigots and drain any remaining water to prevent pipe cracks.

Insulate Exposed Pipes in basements, attics, and crawl spaces are especially at risk. Use pipe sleeves or heat tape for added protection.

Open Cabinet Doors Let warm air circulate around pipes under sinks—especially those on exterior walls.

Keep Your Thermostat Consistent Even if you're away, keep your home at least 55°F to prevent freezing.

Service Your Water Heater Ensure it’s running efficiently before the cold hits. No one wants a cold shower in January!
