“It smells so good in here!” 🥹✨

And that’s something I hear from my clients ALL the time.

Because it’s one thing to clean a home. It’s another thing to make it FEEL refreshed.

People ask me what sets me apart from other cleaners and my answer will always be the same.

Anybody can clean a house for a paycheck. But when I walk into your home, I’m not just thinking about what needs to be wiped down.

I’m thinking about how I can lighten your load. Create peace. Bring function back into your space and give you one less thing to worry about.

I want you to walk back into your home and FEEL the difference. Not just see it.

That’s the difference. That’s the standard. That’s Polished by Kay. 🩷✨

Heyyy Polished Family! Now that I’m well rested I have a serious question 🤣.

Be honest 😂😂 are we buying everybody gifts this year or are we setting BOUNDARIES?! 😭🎁👀

Comment below ⬇️

My answer is in the comments 🤭

Y’all, today wore me OUT. 😩😂

PMDD was PMDD’ing BAD today because baby, I had NO energy. I was tired before I even got started and I’m not even gonna lie, that cleaning took everything out of me today.

But guess what? WE GOT IT DONE. 😂👏🏽

I had my energy drink in my hand and everything because I was NOT about to let today get the best of me. And when I tell y’all I ate that cleanup up… I ATE THAT CLEANUP UP. PERIOD. 🧼✨

And this is the real side of running my own business. Y’all see the before and afters, the clean spaces, the finished results but sometimes y’all don’t see the person behind it having to push through a day when she barely has the energy to do anything.

I’m always gonna be real with y’all. Some days I have it, some days I don’t. Today was definitely one of them days where I had to give myself a little extra grace.

But that house got cleaned, the results came out GOOD, and now I’m about to go sit ALL the way down because your girl is DONE. 😭😂🩷

“You’re never going to be anything but somebody who lays on her back and has kids.”

Those were the words spoken to me as a child. Imagine being so young and having people who are supposed to see your potential already deciding your worth for you.

For a long time, people underestimated me. They judged my circumstances, my past, and who they thought I was going to become. But they never got to decide how my story would end.

Now look at me. 🥹❤️

Building my own business. Creating something with my own two hands. Turning my experiences into purpose and showing up for myself even when life gave me every reason not to.

Polished by Kay is more than a cleaning business to me. It’s proof that I was always capable of becoming something more than what people said I would be.

And the crazy part? I’m still just getting started.

To the little girl who was told she wouldn’t amount to anything: LOOK AT YOU, BABY. WE’RE BUILDING SOMETHING. 🥹🥂✨

Never let somebody else’s perception of you become the limit you place on yourself. 🤍

🧹✨ LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR VACUUM!

One thing people don’t realize is that when your vacuum starts losing suction or isn’t cleaning like it used to, you might NOT need a new one! 👀

Sometimes, all it needs is a little MAINTENANCE. 🙌🏽

During my cleaning today, I noticed my client’s vacuum needed some TLC, so I took the time to clean it out. I removed the hair and debris, checked for blockages, and cleaned the washable filter using Dawn dish soap and water. I let it air-dry completely, and the difference was AMAZING! 😮‍💨✨

📝 HERE’S HOW TO HELP MAINTAIN YOUR VACUUM:
🧼 Clean or replace your filters according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
🧹 Remove hair and debris from the brush roll.
🗑️ Empty the dust bin regularly.
🔎 Check the hose and attachments for blockages.
💧 Only wash filters labeled as washable, and make sure they’re COMPLETELY dry before putting them back in.

Sometimes, your vacuum doesn’t need replacing. It needs a little maintenance! 💯

And this is one of those EXTRA things I do for my clients at no additional charge when they’re providing the vacuum and I notice it needs attention. Because if I’m using it to clean your home, I want it functioning as well as it can!

NOW THE REAL QUESTION IS… 😂😂

🎶 My cleaning lady cleans my vacuum… your cleaning lady don’t clean your vacuum! 🎶

When polished by Kay gets the keys this is what happens 🫧.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to give this little girl’s room a fresh start, and I’m grateful I could use my gift to make a difference. Because at Polished by Kay, it’s about more than clean spaces … it’s about the impact we leave behind. 🥹✨
