One of the ultimate goals for Mom's Garden is to have clumps, big clumps of Echinacea coming into bloom this time of year. Working on reds, oranges, yellows and white, and the original plum color.
In order to make room for my new plants, I will be digging on Sunday morning--Penstemon, Gaillardia, Salvia and Russian Sage. All plants dug for donations-- to pay for the new plants going in.

Decided to go out to the Colorado Farm Brewery for a quick one this morning. When Suzanne Tolsma didn't come out and wait on me, I kinda guessed it was a little early (even for a Friday). As long as I was out there, figured I might as well pinch back the planters. Did I mention this is one of the most important chores you can do right now-- with all your flowers--baskets, perennials, annuals--everything. If you are unsure of how and where to pinch/cutback, please come by the Spot and let me show you. Mornings are best.
P.S. a good blooming type fertilizer is also beneficial.
