Stoats are notorious killing machines - but who doesn't love a ready made meal? 🥡 This stoat couldn't resist the rat in this AT220 and now there's two less furry predators roaming the Kaimai Mamaku at Friends of the Blade.

Spot the Robin! Since installing AT220s, native robins have returned to Whittle Bush in Hawkes Bay.

According to the local trapper, the traps have taken out two large cats, a stoat - and lots of rats, mice and hedgehogs!

Fantastic to see biodiversity returning to the bush with a helping hand 🎉

The tester allows you to determine the voltage level of the battery, and whether it is fully charged or needs charging - helping ensure your equipment is operating at peak performance.
Test batteries before or after charging, so you can keep your traps functioning effectively in the field. The tester is easy to use - simply plug in and press the button - and provides a fast indication of whether a battery is fully charged, when they will read 11.2V.

101 Dalmatians? Not quite! but 101 possums and 61 rodents cleared in 6 months. We're proud to have our traps protecting a particularly beautiful part of the world in Waitomo.

That’s what our NZ AutoTraps have helped us remove from our bush so far.

Why does that matter? Because these introduced pests put huge pressure on New Zealand’s native wildlife and forests. They damage vegetation and prey on eggs, chicks, insects, and seeds, making it harder for the bush to regenerate naturally.

Predator Free 2050 is the big-picture vision for New Zealand, and this is our small part in it. Quietly chipping away, one trap at a time, to help give the native bush and wildlife a better chance.

Wow! Wild weather in Wainui last week showed how tough our AT220s are. 💪

ReWild Wainui is a community trapping project based on Banks Peninsula. Last week nearly 400mm of rain fell in less than 48 hours, causing massive flooding and slips across the region. One major slip dammed a river entirely, causing a huge wall of water to surge down the valley when the blockage gave way. The flood caused huge damage to the valley as water and debris swept downstream.
When Lawrence Smith went to check the trap line, he was certain the trap would be swept away or crushed by the tons of debris jammed against the trunk. But after a bit of careful chainsaw work, there it was: battered and bent, but still there and still functional!

All of our traps are handmade in our Whakatāne factory to withstand NZ's tough conditions, so we love to hear stories like this.

ReWild Wainui volunteers remove around 1,800 pests each year, using a combination of live capture and traditional traps, shooting, and a network of 70 AT220 self-resetting traps. Many of these have been funded with the support of Christchurch City Council and Environment Canterbury, but the mahi itself is carried out entirely by dedicated local volunteers. Nice one team!
