Nelson Cleaning Solutions – Terms & Conditions 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Nelson Cleaning Solutions. By booking a service, the Client agrees to the terms outlined below.
1. Scope of Services
Nelson Cleaning Solutions agrees to provide cleaning services as agreed with the Client, based on the selected service type, frequency, and estimated hours.
A minimum of 2 hours applies to all weekly, fortnightly, and one-off standard cleans unless otherwise agreed.
Service hours are estimates only and may vary depending on the condition of the property.
Any additional tasks must be agreed upon prior to the service and may incur additional charges.
2. Scheduling & Access
Regular cleans are scheduled between 8:00am – 3:00pm on the agreed service day.
Due to varying job lengths, exact arrival and departure times cannot be guaranteed; however, we will aim to arrive within the scheduled timeframe.
The Client must ensure safe and clear access to the property at the scheduled time. If access cannot be gained, a cancellation fee may apply.
3. Services Included (Standard Clean)
Unless otherwise agreed, standard cleaning services may include:
Dusting all surfaces
Vacuuming all floors
Mopping all floors
Wiping skirting boards (accessible areas only)
Kitchen cleaning (countertops, sink, stove, and visible marks)
Bathroom cleaning (vanity, toilet, shower, and bath)
Emptying internal rubbish bins
4. Services Included (Exit Clean)
Exit cleans are more detailed and are completed on a time-based service due to varying property conditions. Services may include:
All standard clean inclusions
Wiping down walls (where accessible)
Cleaning inside cupboards and drawers (emptied only)
Additional detailing required for end-of-tenancy presentation
Bond returns are not guaranteed, as results depend on the condition of the property, previous wear and tear, and landlord/property manager expectations.
5. Time-Based Service Clause
All cleaning services are provided on a time-based basis unless a fixed price has been agreed in writing. This means:
The cleaner will work through the agreed task list for the booked duration
Not all tasks may be completed if time runs out
Additional time can be added where available and will be charged at the applicable hourly rate
No refunds are provided for tasks not completed due to time limitations
Deep cleans, oven cleaning, internal window cleaning, exterior windows, and other add-ons are charged separately at an additional cost.
Oven Cleaning Clause
Oven cleaning is not included in standard or exit cleans unless specifically requested and confirmed.
Oven cleaning is charged at a separate fixed rate, as advised prior to the service.
The level of results achievable depends on the condition, age, and build-up within the oven.
Some staining, discolouration, or wear may remain due to permanent damage or baked-on residue.
Nelson Cleaning Solutions is not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing faults, fragile components, or wear and tear during oven cleaning.
6. Health & Safety Limitations
For health and safety reasons, Nelson Cleaning Solutions does not provide:
Removal of heavy mould, mould staining, or fungus requiring specialised treatment
Cleaning of bodily fluids, biohazards, or illegal substance residue
Cleaning above a step-ladder height of 1.5 metres from the ground
Tasks that pose a safety risk to the cleaner
5. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
Notify us if anyone in the household is unwell (including Covid or similar contagious illnesses) prior to the scheduled clean
Provide clear access to the premises at the scheduled time
Provide a secure place for pets, or advise of any special pet instructions
Pick up excess clutter in areas to be cleaned to allow time to be used efficiently
Provide a safe and suitable power source for cleaning equipment where required
Advise of any fragile, damaged, or special-care items prior to the clean
Nelson Cleaning Solutions is not responsible for damage to televisions, computers, or items not reasonably expected to be handled during cleaning.
6. Cancellations & Changes
A minimum of 24 business hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a clean.
Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Same-day cancellations or no-access appointments may be charged at 100% of the scheduled service.
7. Payment Terms
Payment is due within 4 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed.
Late payments may incur additional fees or result in suspension of services.
Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.
8. Public Holidays
Nelson Cleaning Solutions does not operate on public or statutory holidays unless agreed in writing. Public holiday rates may apply.
9. Satisfaction & Feedback
If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, they must notify Nelson Cleaning Solutions within 24 hours of the clean so the issue can be addressed where reasonably possible.
10. Termination of Services
Either party may terminate ongoing services by providing 7 days’ written notice.
The Client agrees to pay for all services completed up to the termination date.
11. Liability
Nelson Cleaning Solutions will take reasonable care while performing services; however:
We are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or damage caused by faulty or unstable items
We are not responsible for loss or damage resulting from unforeseen circumstances beyond our control
12. Photos & Media
With the Client’s consent, Nelson Cleaning Solutions may take before and after photos for reference or marketing purposes. No personal or identifying information will be included.
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The most current version will apply to all bookings.
