⚠️Warning... HE NOVEL TĒNEI!!⚠️ 😂
I’ve been sitting here thinking about how far this pakihi has come… and for the first time ever, it actually hit me.🥹
Not because I stopped… but because someone made me stop! Yesterday while I was cleaning for 1 of my Ringa Urutapu Whānau with my head phones on listening to Troy Kingi! Lol
I got sent a voice message that said:
“Take time to reflect on what you’ve actually achieved… how far this business has come and how phenomenal that growth is. You’ve created a market, a brand, and a real business with potential to grow… and you did that with your own grit, talent sweat and hard work!!.”
That… hit me 🥹 nobody has ever said anything like that to me before!
Because truthfully I started with nothing.
Just a whakaaro and a belief in myself!!
Early mornings, late nights… worth it! 💪
But the real reason I even started…
was because I saw the need!!
I was hearing how things had been done before in our kōhanga… and it wasn’t right. Not the standard, not the care, not the understanding of tikanga Māori and it didn’t sit right with me.
So I created something that aligned with us.
With our values. With our people. With our wāhi tapu and wāhi noho And it’s always been bigger than just cleaning..
It’s about caring for te taiao too! Using plant-based products that are safe for our people and gentle on the environment.
Before I step into any new Kainga, Whare or Tari I karakia. I make sure I’m bringing only good wairua with me, so when I leave… it’s not just clean to the eye, it "feels" different too.🌿💚
And now… Ringa Urutapu has grown into something even more special 💚
My daughter Pounamu has been part of Ringa Urutapu for the past few months, taking on her own responsibilities within the pakihi and really stepping into her role. My boy Rūaumoko comes through now and then, working alongside mama and learning the mahi too!!
That means everything to me. This isn’t just a business, it’s a whānau kaupapa!!
Now… Ringa Urutapu isn’t just something small anymore.
It’s known. It’s trusted. It’s growing. It’s thriving. He kaupapa tēnei!!! 💚
And I’ll be honest… growth is scary too.
Thinking about taking that next step, bringing people on… trusting others with something I built from the ground up.
But hearing that voice message reminded me;
I’ve already done the hard part... I really should be proud of what I have done and growth is happening!!
Ngā mihi nui to everyone who’s supported me, backed me, and trusted me in your kāinga, tari, and businesses. This isn’t just me...this is all of us 💚
🌿Ehara i te horoi noa iho, he kaupapa!!
Cleaning with meaning 🌿
Next level… we coming!!! 🔥💯
