🚴🏃 🚣🏻 Sport Otago TRI Challenge - What a Team Effort!

A huge congratulations to Colin, Jeremy and Matt who represented Sims & Blue Limited at this week's Sport Otago TRI Challenge at Forsyth Barr Stadium.

The guys gave it everything and finished 10th overall in the men's category - an outstanding effort among 65 teams.

After crossing the finish line, the whole team celebrated together with burgers and a well-earned fizz at Good Good.

Well done to everyone who took part, and thank you to Sport Otago for putting on another fantastic event!

📜 A Little History for Your Friday Afternoon...

While looking through the scrapbook, we came across this wonderful newspaper feature from the 1970s and thought it was too good not to share.

This article celebrates the opening of the new Maniototo Pharmacy premises in Ranfurly - a project we were proud to be involved in as the painting contractors. It's a great snapshot of a time when local businesses worked together to create something that would serve the community for generations.

More than 50 years later, we're still proud to be working throughout the Maniototo and Central Otago. While the projects may have changed over the years, our passion for quality workmanship and supporting the communities we call home remains just as strong.

It's always special to look back at moments like these and reflect on the long-standing relationships and local projects that have shaped our journey.

Here's to being part of the Mighty Maniototo then, and still proudly working in the area today. 💙

Investing in the future of our trade 🎨

Matthew Sims recently attended the PainterCraft Trust New Zealand course, joining a fantastic group of young painters and apprentices from around the country.

Since 1965, the PainterCraft Trust has been helping the next generation of painting professionals. Its week-long course gives a broader understanding of the industry, focusing on the commercial, business, and professional aspects of the trade.

Sims & Blue Ltd has a long and proud association with the PainterCraft Trust, with several of our team attending the course over the years. We'd like to thank Dulux New Zealand, Master Painters NZ Assn, and everyone involved for their continued support of this outstanding programme and their investment in the future of our industry.
