Today we hosted our first community breakfast: When Someone You Love Is Diagnosed 💗

Our full Clean for Good team came together for this event, and we could not be prouder of the beautiful, safe and supportive space that was created.

There were honest conversations, practical tools, vulnerability, connection, and so much care in the room. One of the strongest messages from today was that people are not looking for someone to fix their pain. They want to feel seen, safe, and less alone.

A huge thank you to Jo von Schwedler for guiding this conversation so beautifully, and to Connie for the amazing breakfast and food that helped make the morning feel so warm and welcoming. 💗

When Someone You Love Is Diagnosed (Free event)

Hi Everyone,

At some point in life, most of us will find ourselves wanting to support someone through a difficult diagnosis…
and not quite knowing how.

A friend. A sister. A mum.
What do you say? What actually helps? What makes it harder?

We’re creating a small, thoughtful space to explore exactly that.

On Friday 15 May at 8:00am, we’re hosting an intimate breakfast at Devonport Library, focused on:

How to show up well when someone is going through breast cancer.

This isn’t only for those currently close to it.
It’s a conversation that quietly equips you for the moments life tends to bring.

We’ll be guided by Jo von Schwedler, who will lead a short, practical session covering:

What to say (and what to avoid)
How to support without overwhelming or trying to fix
Simple, meaningful ways to help day to day
Staying present when things feel uncomfortable or uncertain
Looking after yourself while supporting someone else

No heavy language. No pressure.
Just a human, honest conversation with tools you can carry forward.

We’ll keep it short and then open the space for connection and shared experiences.
