🚧 Roading Update 4.45pm Tuesday 7 July 🚧
Following further rain and flooding SH63 is now closed from the Hawkesbury Road intersection through to Kawatiri Junction.
There are trees down 400m from SH6 on Kaituna-Tuamarina Road and the road is closed.
Due to flooding Wairau Bar, Chaytors and Bothams Bend roads are closed.
SH1 remains closed between Ward and Kaikōura due to flooding.

Caution Advised:
- SH1 Picton on the Elevation
- Port Underwood Rd from Karaka Point
- Brancott Rd
- Brookby Rd
- SH6 through to the Rai Saddle from the SH62 intersection - drive with extreme caution

Road users travelling on SH6 between Renwick and Nelson are advised to travel with caution due to areas of surface flooding.
SH1 remains closed between Ward and Waipara due to flooding.
The trees blocking access on Waikakaho Road have been cleared and the road is open.
There are multiple slips on Port Underwood Road between Karaka Point and Whatamango, the road is open to one lane in sections.
Canterbury Street in Picton is now closed.
Vickermans Street and Morgans Road are closed due to flooding.
New Renwick Road, between Bells and Paynters Road is closed. Road users are urged to drive with caution on Brookby Road, Brancott Road and surrounding areas due to surface flooding.

🚧 Roading Update 2.30pm Tuesday 7 July 🚧
Queen Charlotte Drive is now closed from Havelock to Picton, due to multiple slips and flooding at the Havelock causeway.
Wakamarina Rd and Tapps Rd are closed.
Tyntesfield Road is closed from the start of the road due to flooding.

🚧 Roading Update 1pm Tuesday 7 July 🚧
Marlborough Roads' crews continue to inspect roads, monitor flood levels and clear debris across the network.
There remains surface flooding throughout the region, including on all state highways. As rain continues to fall road users are urged to avoid travel and if travel is essential to drive with extreme caution and to the conditions.
The next update is expected around 4pm unless something significant should change.
