From the team at Chem Dry Marlborough It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic news of Senior Sergeant Lyn Fleming’s passing. Lyn succumbed to injuries sustained in a serious incident in Nelson, where she and a colleague were struck by a vehicle while on foot patrol. Her colleague remains in a serious but stable condition.
Lyn was a dedicated officer with 38 years of front-line service, a respected leader in the Nelson Bays team, and a cherished member of the Nelson community. She was also a loving wife, daughter, and mother, with deep ties to both her family and the Police.
This heartbreaking loss reminds us of the sacrifices made in the line of duty, especially on nights meant for celebration, and the senseless acts that can shatter lives.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Lyn’s family, friends, and colleagues as they navigate this devastating time. Her legacy of service and kindness will not be forgotten. A true legend to the community.
