We are proud to announce that the FIJADA Liberia Chapter successfully held its First General In-Person Meeting on April 26, 2026, at Horton House, Horton Avenue, Monrovia, Liberia.

Under the leadership of President Pearl M. A. Hutchins and Vice President William Anderson, dedicated members came together to lay a strong foundation for impactful engagement and future growth.

The meeting featured meaningful discussions on FIJADA’s mission, vision, and core values, while also advancing key administrative priorities—including progress toward legal incorporation. Members formally introduced themselves, reinforcing unity, shared purpose, and alignment on strategic objectives.

Looking ahead, FIJADA Liberia unveiled its upcoming outreach initiatives for May and June:

🔹 Women’s Month Outreach: Hygiene and sanitation awareness programs for high school girls across selected communities.

🔹 June Educational Outreach: Public speaking and personal development sessions for university students.

🔹 Advocacy Initiative: Proposed collaboration with legal institutions to support review and possible release of low-risk inmates.

With a structured financial framework and consistent meeting schedule now in place, FIJADA Liberia is positioned to make lasting impact through service, advocacy, and youth empowerment.

From Representation to Influence FIJADA Liberia on the Continental Stage

At the 6th Extraordinary African Youth Leadership Diplomatic Conference, FIJADA Liberia was not just present we were purposefully engaged in shaping conversations that matter.

Under the theme “From Policy to Action: Accelerating African-Led Solutions for Regional Peace and Stability,” the President of FIJADA Liberia proudly represented Liberia within the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) Council, contributing to the Committee on Social Policy and Human Capital Development.

Championing the agenda “Developing Africa’s Human Capital for Inclusive Economic Growth,” her participation amplified a clear message: Africa’s future depends on intentional investment in its people their skills, their opportunities, and their leadership.

This was more than dialogue. It was a call to action to transform policies into tangible outcomes, to prioritize youth as drivers of change, and to strengthen collaborative solutions that secure sustainable growth and regional stability.

FIJADA Liberia remains committed to moving beyond conversations to influence, to impact, and to lead.

Le Forum International de la Jeunesse Africaine pour le Développement de l’Afrique (FIJADA-AFRIQUE) salue avec intérêt la dynamique internationale entourant la candidature de Son Excellence Macky Sall, ancien Président de la République du Sénégal, au poste de Secrétaire général de l’Organisation des Nations unies.

À ce titre, le Président en exercice du FIJADA-AFRIQUE, M. Lumeya Masuta Jonathan, exprime son soutien à cette candidature qui s’inscrit dans une vision de renforcement de la représentation africaine au sein des grandes instances de gouvernance mondiale.

La candidature de M. Macky Sall a été officiellement présentée dans le cadre du processus de sélection du prochain Secrétaire général des Nations unies, dont le mandat doit débuter en 2027, à l’issue de celui de António Guterres. 

Pour le FIJADA-AFRIQUE, cette initiative constitue une opportunité importante pour promouvoir davantage la voix de l’Afrique dans les mécanismes multilatéraux et dans la recherche de solutions durables aux défis mondiaux, notamment en matière de paix, de développement durable, de coopération internationale et d’inclusion de la jeunesse.

Sous l’impulsion de son Président en exercice, M. Lumeya Masuta Jonathan, le FIJADA-AFRIQUE réaffirme son engagement à soutenir toutes les initiatives visant à renforcer la participation du continent africain dans les grandes institutions internationales et à promouvoir un leadership fondé sur la coopération, la responsabilité et le dialogue entre les nations.

Le FIJADA demeure convaincu que la représentation africaine dans les instances internationales contribue à une gouvernance mondiale plus équilibrée, inclusive et attentive aux aspirations des peuples.

The International Forum of African Youth for the Development of Africa (FIJADA-AFRICA) welcomes with great interest the international momentum surrounding the candidacy of His Excellency Macky Sall, former President of the Republic of Senegal, for the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations.

In this regard, the Acting President of FIJADA-AFRICA, Mr. Lumeya Masuta Jonathan, expresses his support for this candidacy, which aligns with a vision of strengthening African representation within major global governance institutions.

The candidacy of Mr. Macky Sall has been officially presented as part of the selection process for the next Secretary-General of the United Nations, whose mandate is expected to begin in 2027, following the completion of the term of António Guterres.

For FIJADA, this initiative represents an important opportunity to further promote Africa’s voice within multilateral mechanisms and in the pursuit of sustainable solutions to global challenges, particularly in the areas of peace, sustainable development, international cooperation, and youth inclusion.

Under the leadership of its Acting President, Mr. Lumeya Masuta Jonathan, FIJADA reaffirms its commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening the participation of the African continent in major international institutions and promoting leadership founded on cooperation, responsibility, and dialogue among nations.

FIJADA remains convinced that stronger African representation within international institutions contributes to a more balanced, inclusive global governance system that is attentive to the aspirations of peoples around the world.

Meet our President — FIJADA Liberia Chapter!

Mrs. Pearl M. Anderson-Hutchins is a visionary youth leader, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for women and youth empowerment in Liberia and across Africa. She is the Founder and President of the International Forum of African Youth for the Development of Africa (FIJADA) — Liberia Chapter, an organization dedicated to nurturing bold, ethical, and transformational leaders committed to sustainable development across the continent.

With a strong academic and professional foundation, she holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Sociology, a Master’s Degree in International Relations, a Diploma in Airline Ticketing, a Certificate in Fashion Design, and multiple certifications in Leadership Development. Her multidisciplinary education reflects a deep understanding of social systems, global diplomacy, entrepreneurship, and strategic leadership.

As a development practitioner and founder of empowerment initiatives, including PADE and other youth-focused platforms, Mrs. Anderson-Hutchins has consistently created opportunities that equip women and young people with practical skills, confidence, and leadership capacity. Her work integrates social development, diplomacy, entrepreneurship, and community transformation, positioning her as a dynamic force for change.
