Source-sink flush GSAP Microflush latrine. Eliminate using buckets of water to flush. Instead this model requires using 1 cup of water from hand wash. The valve system located in the side can be turn as a switch, to release waste into bio digester. Thanks to the Rotary Club of Foxboro, Ma grant that established the GSAP Microflush Sanitation credit in Liberia. As this is an ongoing project, VAGES aims to create the capacity for thousands of households and schools in Liberia without latrine to afford it. Sanitation is a pressing issue to population health. But with awareness and sensitization to the GSAP Microflush in Liberia, we hope to subdue the lack of poor sanitation. We also thank our partners at Global Sustainable Aid project, Dr. Stephen Mecca. New ongoing construction of the GSAP Microflush toilet in Liberia. This toilet model uses (150 cc) or 1 cup of water to flush. It can be a pour flush or a source-sink flush as seen in the photo. Unlike the regular pit Latrine that smells and call roaches and flies, this toilet does not. It's sanitary and that's because of the ingenuity of the valve system that prevent smell. Learn more about VAGES work in constructing the GSAP Microflush toilet to address poor sanitation and hygiene issues in Liberia. The GSAP Microflush toilet is far better than the regular pit latrine that's being constructed in various locations in Liberia. The Microflush toilet construction requires 150 cc cup of water that comes from hand washing to flush. The grey water provides a separation of waste from space and human contact thus controlling odors and eliminating flies. The waste is directly released to the digester bed which does a rapid solids through a natural macro-organism enhanced aerobic digestion process.
