Every business has a story. This is ours.
My name is Elżbieta, although most people simply call me Ela or Elka. Over three and a half years ago, my husband and I founded Eagle Company Group in Wakefield. As our business grew, so did we, and today we’re proudly based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, providing professional cleaning services across the whole of Yorkshire.
A few years ago, I worked as a Housekeeping Manager. I truly loved my job because I love working with people and making sure everything is completed to the highest possible standard.
I was also fortunate enough to work alongside an exceptional manager who taught me one of the most valuable lessons in business: success never comes without hard work. He showed me that a great leader never stands on the sidelines—they roll up their sleeves, work alongside their team and lead by example. Those values have stayed with me ever since and continue to shape the way I lead our company today.
When our daughter was born, everything changed.
I realised I wanted to spend more time with her and create a better balance between my career and family life. Leaving a job I genuinely loved wasn’t an easy decision, but it became the best decision I could have made.
Another person also played a huge part in this journey—my best friend, who owns a successful cleaning company in another city. She was the one who sparked this idea in me and gave me the confidence to believe that I could do it too.
She taught me something I’ll never forget…
There is no need to fear competition.
There are thousands of homes and businesses that need cleaning, and there is room for everyone who works with honesty, passion and genuine care.
I’ll always be grateful to her for believing in me before I fully believed in myself.
Thankfully, I haven’t been on this journey alone.
My husband believed in this dream from the very beginning. He has always known how to support me—not only as my husband but also as my business partner. Together we’ve built Eagle Company Group, supporting each other through every challenge while making sure every client receives the highest standard of service. He is the steady foundation behind our company, and I couldn’t have done this without him.
Alongside running our business, I’m also a first-year Business Management student because I believe learning never stops. Every new skill and every lesson helps me become a better business owner, a better leader and a better employer.
From day one, I knew I didn’t want to build just another cleaning company.
I wanted to build a company with heart.
A company that supports people—especially women and mothers.
That’s why most of our work is carried out during school hours. It allows the women in our team to balance work with family life and still be there for their children after school. As a mum myself, I know how precious those moments are.
The thing I love most about what we do is that we don’t just clean homes or workplaces.
We give people back something they can never replace…
Time.
Time with their children.
Time with their families.
Time to relax.
Time to enjoy life.
Many of our clients are women juggling careers, households and family life. I truly believe that asking for help is never a sign of weakness—it’s a choice to invest in yourself, your wellbeing and the people you love.
