✨ A Little Bit About Me ✨

I thought it was about time I shared a little about the person behind the business.

Hi, I'm Gemma. I'm 42, a proud mum to four amazing children, dog mum to two crazy pups, and I'm lucky enough to have an incredibly supportive fiancé who has stood by me through it all. ❤️

People often see the finished cleans, but they don't always see the reason why I started my business.

For years, I tried to balance employment with being a mum and carer to my son with additional needs. Our days were filled with medical appointments, school meetings, EHCP reviews, phone calls with professionals, school refusal, and the emotional ups and downs that many SEN families know all too well. There were days I'd be called out of work because my son was in crisis or because an appointment simply couldn't be changed.

Trying to be everything to everyone was exhausting.

Eventually, I realised something had to change.

So, I took a leap of faith and started my own cleaning business.

Cleaning has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I love the satisfaction of transforming a home and giving people one less thing to worry about. But more importantly, running my own business gave me something priceless... the flexibility to be there for my family when they needed me most.

My son has now finished Year 11 and is getting ready to start college. I'm so proud of how far he's come. But if you've experienced life with an SEN child, you'll know the journey doesn't end when school does. The transition into adulthood brings new challenges, new meetings, and a continued fight to make sure the right support is in place.

Building this business hasn't always been easy, but it's been worth every early morning, every late night, and every challenge along the way.

So, when you book me to clean your home, you're supporting more than just a small local business. You're supporting a hardworking mum, a carer, someone who understands life's challenges, and someone who truly appreciates every single client.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their homes, recommended me to others, and supported my journey. You've helped me build a business around the people who matter most to me, and I'll never take that for granted. ❤️

I'm quite pleased with how these turned out for a first go! It's amazing what you can create with a couple of towels and a YouTube tutorial. 😆🦢✨

Not going to lie, I may have caught the towel-art bug... so if you see random swans appearing during future cleans, you'll know why! 🤣

🚨🚨 IMPORTANT PAYMENT UPDATE 🚨🚨

To ensure the smooth running of my business, payment for all cleaning services is required within 24 hours of your clean, unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in advance.

Unfortunately, I have had an increasing number of payments being made weeks, and in some cases months, after the service has been provided. As a result, I have had to introduce a late payment charge of £5 per day on any outstanding balance from 24 hours after the clean until full payment is received.

As a self-employed cleaner, this is my livelihood. Like everyone else, I have household bills, business expenses, and a family to support. I provide my service in good faith and respectfully ask that payments are made within the agreed timeframe.

Thank you to all of my clients who pay promptly and continue to support my small business. Your reliability and understanding are greatly appreciated. 🧽✨

This payment policy will apply to all cleans moving forward unless otherwise agreed in writing beforehand.
