Today our residents enjoyed a double dose of brain‑teasing fun as they took on two quizzes — What Animal Am I? and a lively round of Common Bonds.

From guessing creatures based on clever clues to spotting the hidden link between everyday items, the room was full of laughter, teamwork, and plenty of friendly competition. It was wonderful watching everyone share ideas, reminisce, and cheer each other on. Another brilliant afternoon of connection and creativity here at Sycamore Lodge 💛

🐾✨ What Animal Am I? Quiz Fun at Sycamore Lodge

Today our residents put their thinking caps on for a playful round of “What Animal Am I?” — and the guesses were brilliant. From clues about stripes and paws to hints about feathers and habitats, everyone joined in with laughter, teamwork, and plenty of friendly debate.

It was wonderful to see how a simple quiz sparked memories, stories, and lots of smiles. Another lovely afternoon of connection and creativity here at Sycamore Lodge 💛

On the photo are our lovely ex‑resident from the Destination Home project, Clare, together with Senior Social Worker Penny. Thanks to the amazing teamwork between Sycamore Lodge and Penny, Clare reached her baseline with mobility in no time after her accident — and has now returned home to continue living her happy, independent life.

We are so proud of you, Clare. Truly amazing progress. 💛👏✨

Our residents have been happily learning new languages and practicing together — and the enthusiasm has been fantastic to see! From trying out new words to helping one another with pronunciation, it’s been a fun and engaging way to keep minds active and spirits high.

On 01.06 we marked International Children’s Day, and it brought such a beautiful atmosphere to Sycamore Lodge. Our residents spent the afternoon reminiscing about their own children and grandchildren — sharing stories, memories, and the moments that shaped their families.

There was laughter, a few happy tears, and plenty of heartfelt conversations. It’s amazing how talking about loved ones can brighten a day and bring everyone closer together. 💛

Our residents enjoyed a lovely Italian‑themed activity session today, filled with colour, culture and plenty of concentration. 🇮🇹✨

In the photos, you can see everyone taking part in a range of engaging tasks — from exploring bright, travel‑style Italy posters and maps, to completing word‑search puzzles featuring famous Italian cities. Residents highlighted places like Rome, Venice, Milan and Florence, staying focused and really enjoying the challenge. These activities are brilliant for keeping minds active, sparking conversation and bringing a little taste of Italy into our day.
