We are seeking a dedicated Laundry and Ironing Assistant to join our team. This role involves ensuring that all laundry and linen are cleaned, pressed, and prepared to the highest standards for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, organisation skills, and previous experience in a Laundry environment is highly desirable. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a professional setting within the service industry.
DUTIES
Collect, sort, and wash laundry items according to colour and fabric type
Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines safely and efficiently
Iron, fold, and organise linen, towels, and other textiles to meet quality standards
Ensure all laundry is stored correctly and labelled appropriately for easy access
Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Assist with stock control by monitoring supplies of detergents, softeners, and other cleaning products
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality standards
Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift laundry baskets or equipment as needed
Knowledge of laundry machinery operation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided if necessary
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Pay: £12.50-£12.80 per hour
