Jobs 2 and 3 today were both pump jobs. The 1st was in the town of Belper to investigate a humming 2 speed pump. Having eliminated an airlock and a defective start up capacitor, the fault was identified as a seized pump. New pump on order. The final job today was a return to my regular customers Patrick's tub
to change the wet-end of his 2 speed pump. I looked at this pump last week in Kirkby in Ashfield as it was showing flow errors as well as a lack of performance on its high speed. Having removed the pump it soon became apparent what was causing the problem 😕 😎⚓️

A busy day for Aquaman today to start the week.
The first of 3 jobs was to investigate a badly scorched input terminal on this Balboa control pack. This has been caused by arcing of the live wire that had become loose from the tub being repositioned in the customers garden. Sadly this has caused extensive damage which will require a new board. As this is a "plug and play" on a 13 amp socket on its own supply, I've recommended that the customer up his fuse panel to a 16 amp supply. I've also recommended that he installs a sausage plug and connector for further safety.
Today's customer was also a Royal Navy veteran like myself. Always nice to meet a fellow Shipmate 😎⚓️

Aquaman was in the town of Belper today to look at my friend Vanda's beautiful Hotsprings Tub.
She had noticed puddling at the side of the tub and wanted me to investigate.
Having removed the side panel and removing some of the foam insulation there were signs of a leak lower down in the tub which looks like its on a main manifold supplying the fountains.
This is going to need further investigation and a possible flip of the tub. 😎⚓️

A quick call-out today to look at a tub which was showing a flow error. At first I thought it was an airlock as the customer had recently refilled the tub. Upon investigation it was discovered that the 2 speed pump wasn't working as efficiently as it should be, especially on the high speed. I suspect that the pumps impeller is damaged so I have booked in to remove the pump and strip it down in the workshop next week 😎⚓️

Aquaman's 2nd job of the day was to re-instate this older tub which I always Winterise in the Autumn.
Due to some intermittent problems last year, I also replaced the pressure switch.😎⚓️

It was factor 30 suncream for Aquaman today on what turned out to be an absolute scorcher 🥵
The first job today was a 3 monthly refresh on one of my regular customer Mark's Tub as part of his annual service plan 😎⚓️

Friday saw Aquaman enjoying the sun in the lovely village of Darley Abbey. This job was to change a control PCB which had failed resulting in exploding components.
I was joined by another furry friend who was also chilling in the nice weather 🌞🌞😎⚓️
