Do I need to move the furniture before you arrive?

A really common question from customers is whether they need to move the furniture before I arrive.

I always ask customers to clear the rooms as much as possible before I get there, as that helps me get the best access to the carpet and gives you the best possible result.

I do not mind moving smaller, lighter items such as dining chairs or coffee tables. What I will not move is anything heavy, bulky, very large, or anything with electrical equipment or valuables in or on it.

If you are able to move furniture into another room before the appointment, that is always helpful. If that is not possible, I can clean around larger items instead. If you are happy for items to be stacked on top of beds or sofas to give me more access to the floor, that can work well too.

With sofas, I can sometimes move them in and out using sliders if it is suitable, but that does depend on the size of the sofa and the space in the room. For example, a very large corner sofa in a small room is not always practical to move safely.

The main thing is to give me as much access as possible, but if you would prefer me to clean around certain furniture entirely, that is absolutely fine as well.
