Right, so that last post about working for 9 months without getting paid seems to have touched a nerve with a few mardy mardy people! 🤣🤣

Honestly, I meant it! As a bit of comedy, but some of you have taken it more seriously than I expected! 😂

The messages I've had, the debates it's started, and the amount of outstanding debts suddenly getting paid… I'M NOT COMPLAINING! 👀💰😂

I haven't even had to take anyone's bins yet, and I'm already getting results! 🤣

So, if you've been putting that little £3 payment off, consider this your friendly reminder… 👀😂

Don't shoot the messenger. Just pay the bin man! 🗑️💰🤣

🚨 QUICK QUESTION… HOW LONG WOULD YOU WORK WITHOUT GETTING PAID? 😂💰

Had a customer ring me today asking why we hadn't cleaned his bins… despite owing us £27 for NINE cleans! 🤦‍♂️😂

Let that sink in for a minute. NINE cleans. Nine times we've turned up to do the job. Nine opportunities to sort the payment, plus numerous cards through the door.

But apparently, the real problem is that we've turned up today and haven't cleaned them! 🤣

When I explained why, the response was along the lines of, “Cancel it then and send one of your lads round for the money.”

😂😂😂

So here's my question…

If you went to work every week, did your job, and your boss didn't pay you for NINE MONTHS, would you carry on turning up with a smile on your face?

Would you wait patiently, keep doing the work, and hope they eventually paid you? Or would you be straight on the phone asking where your money was? 🤔

We're a small business, not a charity or a bank. We turn up, do the work, pay our bills and expect the same basic respect in return.

Funny how £27 is suddenly a problem when it's time to pay, but nine cleans for free is apparently no problem at all! 😂👏

Come on, be honest… how long would YOU work without getting paid? 👇🤣

🧼 Another job, another property brought back up to scratch! 🧼

This one was a full gutter clean, getting all the blocked gutters cleared out and the leaks sorted, followed by a good clean underneath.

We also tackled the soffits, fascias and windows while we were there. 👌

And while I was at it, I spotted the little door canopy above the door looking a bit grubby… so I gave that a good scrub too. 😎

A little freebie while we were there — because if we can make something look better while we're on the job, we will!

😮‍💨 NOW THIS IS SATISFYING TO WATCH…

Back at The Black Rock Hotel in Wakefield, and this time you can really see the old lacquer lifting, peeling and coming away from the London tiles. 🔥🧼

This was lacquer that had been applied back in the 1990s and, after years of weathering and wear, it had started to deteriorate and leave the tiles looking white and cloudy instead of clear.

Using steam, we're carefully working through that old coating and watching it release from the surface.

Sometimes the best time to clean is when everyone else is asleep! 👌

🌙 AFTER HOURS AT THE BLACK ROCK, WAKEFIELD 🧼🔥

This one was a proper night shift! 😴

Steam cleaning at The Black Rock in Wakefield, starting around midnight and carrying on until roughly 3:30–4am.

With the footfall, parking restrictions and general daytime traffic around the area, the only sensible option was to get it done after hours — keeping disruption to a minimum while still getting the job done properly. 💪

But there was a bit more to this one than meets the eye…

The pub owner explained that the London tiles had been lacquered back in the 1990s, and over the years that lacquer had started to flake, peel and deteriorate. It had also caused the tiles to become heavily patinated, leaving them looking white and cloudy rather than clear.

So the job wasn't simply giving the tiles a clean — we were carefully using steam to remove the failing old lacquer and built-up residue, bringing the original appearance of the tiles back through. 🔥🧼

A few hours of steam, a lot of graft, and then the drive home… all while most of the world was tucked up in bed! 😂

Another job done. Another surface brought back to life. 👌

BIOCIDE MAINTENANCE 🧪✨

This patio was last treated by us around 2 years ago and it’s only just starting to show a little bit of green again.

So rather than waiting for it to get bad and needing another full jet wash or soft wash, we’re simply reapplying the biocide as part of the maintenance plan.

That’s the beauty of regular treatment — keep on top of it, rather than let it build up. 💪

Going forward, this patio should only need a biocide treatment to keep the algae and organic growth under control, rather than having to be fully cleaned every time.

Simple maintenance = a cleaner patio for longer. 🧼🏡
