🌿 Giving Back in the Garden 🌿

Last Thursday, members of the Greenzone team rolled up their sleeves and spent the afternoon at Beaumond House Hospice Care, lending a hand to their wonderful gardener Kim. Together, we helped prepare the garden for the winter months ahead — pruning, tidying, and making sure everything is ready for the colder season.

It was a fantastic opportunity to support a local cause, enjoy the fresh air, and work together as a team.

One really special part of the day was planting a big batch of daffodil bulbs right at the front of the garden in memory of Jo Watson 💛. When they bloom in spring, we’ll all be able to smile and think of Jo.

🎆♻️ Celebrate Bonfire Night the Sustainable Way!

Bonfire Night is a tradition we all love, but fireworks and bonfires can have a big impact on the environment and wildlife.

Choose organised displays instead of home fireworks – fewer emissions, safer for everyone, and often support local charities.

Avoid burning waste – only use clean, untreated wood for bonfires.

Dispose of fireworks responsibly – soak them in water for 48 hours, bag them, and put them in general waste (never recycling).

Think of wildlife – build bonfires on the day and check for hedgehogs before lighting.

Small changes = big impact. Let’s keep the skies bright and the planet safe! 🌍
