Hello everyone.

I can now show you one of my recent commissions.

This is Skye the Border Terrier who I made as a special birthday gift. I love how characterful Border Terrier's are. They have such cheeky little faces 😁❤️.

Things are very busy behind the scenes at the moment with special occasion commissions (which I can't share just now) and starting to prepare for this year's North East Open Studios.

However I received these lovely 'Bo Faux in situ' photos the other day of Mr Squirrel 😍.
I can't take credit for any of the other wonderful critters you see 😁. But i'm so pleased Mr Squirrel has some friends 😍.

I have really been looking forward to posting this next post.

This is Puppy the Great Dane. He was a memorial piece and a birthday present for my customers Mum. They wanted Puppy to have a more distinguished appearance and incorporate his distinctive cherry eye.

The challenge was on.

I haven't made a Great Dane before but Puppy was so enjoyable to make. His eyes were a challenge, especially his red eye because I didn't want him to look scary. The customer loved him and assured me her Mother would love him too.

Well the birthday has now passed and I have been informed there were tears 😭...
But happy ones 🥰.

One is absolutely tree-mendous and the other is a little 'nuts' 😆.

I just love their little expressions, they 'crack' me up. Ok I will stop now 😆.

I am delighted to share my latest creation that I finished today.

This is Maya the Cocker spaniel and the first ever Cocker I have created 🤩.

She has actually been quite a challenge to be honest. She's had a few tweaks here and there over the last couple of days because I wasn't totally happy with how she looked. But I think my perseverance has paid off because I am now delighted with how she looks 😍❤️.

I received a photo a few weeks back from Fiona who purchased one of my mini owls at my open studio event back in September.

She spoke about the interesting shadows the little owl cast on the white wall it was displayed on. So she got very creative and marked out the shadow shape then painted it with silver paint. It was a subtle colour contrast but it was enough to create further interest and helped ground the piece to the space.

Fiona then wanted to add to the space so she commissioned a mini moo. And once the little ginger cow was in situ, Fiona once again painted the shadow it cast with silver paint.

I just love how creative this is. Very clever 😍

And I think Fiona has now caught the Bo Faux bug 😆 as she has now commissioned what will be my first ever mini piggy, can't wait 😍

This is the beautiful Brie the Border Collie 🥰. She was an absolute pleasure to make. I just love looking at the photos I work from 😍. And look at those characterful ears 🥰.

Hi everyone,

I really need to do a little post about commissioned pieces and timescale. I just wanted you to know that I haven't forgotten about you. I am behind at the moment due to my hours in my studio being reduced however I will get there. Any specific timescales such as Birthdays/Anniversary's/special occasions will take priority and I will contact you approximately 2 weeks before I start your piece. I am very sorry for the delay but I don't want any piece being rushed.

Number 8 is lucky in many cultures so here's hoping my recent commission does just that 😍.

Every year Doggone Fabulous grooming parlour in London commissions an Anniversary piece to adorn their walls. And this year they picked me to create the perfect piece for their 8th Anniversary 🤩.

When it came to picking the breed to make, it could only be one of the owner's Clive favourite dog breeds, the Italian Spinone.
I had so much fun making him with those long floppy ears and distinguished features 🤩. I even created a leather collar with a number 8 tag to make reference to the number of years they've been in business.
I am so pleased with him 🥰.

Something a little different tonight.

It's been a sad time behind the scenes lately. I lost my two remaining rescue hens within weeks of each other 😔. Olive around 3 weeks ago and then Dora last week 😥💔. It was my first time keeping chickens when I got them back in 2023. However it has been such a fulfilling experience seeing these poor little souls transforming before my eyes into happy, healthy and very funny little characters. And it was these little characters that urged me to make my first ever Bo Faux chickens 🥰. I will certainly miss my fab four, Dolly, Meg, Olive and Dora ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

So to pay tribute to my girls, this morning I collected another 4 ex free range hens from the BHWT. They are in a terrible mess 😞, and yes, they are free range! 😞
But I will give them all the TLC and love they need to hopefully flourish into happy, healthy hens that will enjoy their retirement 🥰.

I will keep you all updated with their progress over the coming weeks 😊
