Something a little different tonight.

Over the last few weeks (in-between making my most recent commissions) I have been making base skulls for my Highland Cow heads that I am making for this year's North East Open Studios which starts 5 weeks on Saturday!! 😬😅 12th-20th September.

If you don't know already I make all my own base skulls. I use cereal/pizza boxes to create a basic form (which is in keeping with my recycling principles) then I create a solid base by using plaster of Paris.

These two have been soaking up the recent sunny days and have been drying out beautifully. So I will be starting them very soon. Exciting stuff! 😍

The difference between these two moos and my others is scale and colour. They will be small in stature 😁. One will be ginger and the other the traditional black.

I will keep you updated 😍

I am so pleased I can now share this little munchkin.

This is Burt the Border/Lakeland Terrier cross. Just look at that cheeky wee face 😍. Carole commissioned the piece as a birthday gift for her husband. Carole wanted Burt to have the face he puts on when he wants you to throw his ball 😁. I absolutely loved the challenge of creating that "come on, throw the ball" face 😆.

The birthday has now passed and i've been told he was very warmly received and Bo Faux Burt is already on the wall.

I also received the best compliment ever! And that is, every time they look at him, he makes them smile 🥰❤️.

I love our fish festival 😍. Such a great day out for all the family, especially if the weather is nice 🥰. Be sure to come if you're not too far away and maybe come and say hi 🥰.

My latest commission was another memorial piece.

This beautiful big laddie is Logan the Irish Wolfhound. He is the first Wolfhound i've ever made and he was such a pleasure to make.

While analysing the photos I use as reference I felt an open mouth would portray his character a lot more, and now, I am so pleased I did it ☺️.

Bo Faux Logan will be flying over the pond very soon to live in America 🥰.
