🏡 Before & After – Traditional Lime Repointing & Stone Restoration

What a transformation on this historic stone property.

The original cement-based harling had deteriorated over time, with extensive cracking, moisture retention and damage to the underlying masonry. Our team carefully removed the failing render to expose the original stonework hidden beneath.

Once exposed, all defective joints were raked out and the entire building was repointed using a traditional lime mortar. Lime mortar allows the stonework to breathe naturally, helping moisture escape while protecting the masonry from future deterioration.

The result is a stunning restoration that not only brings the building back to its original character but also provides a durable and breathable finish that will stand the test of time.

Bringing this old Victorian sandstone property back to life while preserving its original heritage and character 🏡

This project involved careful sandstone restoration and traditional lime work to ensure the building stayed true to its original construction methods and appearance.

All defective joints were raked out and repointed using lime putty mortar, allowing the stonework to breathe properly while maintaining the integrity of the building. Every product used throughout the refurbishment was carefully matched to the original materials to keep the property as authentic as possible.

From an old stone horse stable to a brand new double garage 🔨🏡

This project involved the full demolition of the existing stable building, followed by construction of a completely new double garage including a new concrete base, timber cladding, electrical installation, lighting and new doors.

Big thanks to our contractors who came in and helped us bring this one together — great teamwork from start to finish 👏
