Bug guts are acidic. Soak them, don't scrub them - bug remover, TFR, then a gentle clay pad. Scrubbing dry is how you put swirls in.

Can you skip the wash and just wipe a car over with a ceramic detailer spray? I tried it on a whole car to see how far that actually gets you, and wrote it up on the site.

Worth a read before you try it on something that has been sitting on a London street. If you would rather it was just done properly, I come to you — interior only £25.95, exterior only £19.95, inside and out from £34.95.

Dusty to sharp. A stage one polish with a medium cut pad takes the haze out without working the clearcoat harder than it needs. Full Valet £89.95.

Seeing a stained car interior is always frustrating, but watching the grime lift away is incredibly satisfying. A little bit of power tool magic and the right technique can completely transform your vehicle's upholstery. Have you ever tried a deep clean at home?

Traffic film is the grey layer you can't see until it's gone. TFR first, bugs second, then it's safe to touch the paint. Mobile valeting across north and east London - Exterior Only from £19.95.

Before shot from a valet in Enfield & Haringey. I come to the car — everything I need is on the back of the scooter, so there is no driveway and no outside tap required.

If what is stopping you is the drive over to a hand wash and the wait once you are there, that is the part I take out. Exterior clean £19.95, inside and out from £34.95.

Watch as years of dust and residue vanish from this car's interior. There is something incredibly satisfying about seeing deep-seated dirt pulled out of every tiny crevice. It makes you wonder how much grime hides in plain sight.

Vents are the one part you can't reach with a cloth or a vacuum. A soft toothbrush with an antibacterial wipe behind it beats most gadgets sold for the job.
