Though summer's long day's bring opportunities and joy, they come with their fair share of challenges for the elderly. The first one being dehydrated.

Older adults often don't feel thirsty until they're already becoming dehydrated, so it's important to drink regularly. Some simple tips to stay hydrated are:
💧 Keep a bottle of water in easy reach.
💧 Eat water-rich foods like melon, cucumber or strawberries.
💧Set reminders to drink throughout the day.
💧 Limit alcohol and caffeinated drinks.

And if you notice any signs such as dizziness, dark urine, headaches or confusion, dehydration could be the cause and they should be addressed promptly.
