Six shaggy Moroccan rugs. One wash tub. 😳

The water starts crystal clear. Then six rugs go in, the washing begins, and the water tells a very different story.

Shaggy rugs can hold an incredible amount of dry soil and debris deep within their fibres.

This is why a proper wash involves more than what you can see on the surface.

Wait until you see the water. 👀

You saw what came out BEFORE the wash… now watch the full wash.

This Döşemealtı Turkish rug goes through the full specialist wash process. From the initial dusting, wetting and scrubbing, through shampooing, rinsing, extraction and finishing.

Every stage matters when you’re working with a handmade rug.

No shortcuts. Just a proper wash from start to finish. 👌

Would you trust your rug to this process?

This is why we dust before we wash.

This Heriz goes through our mechanical be**er to remove the dry soil and debris trapped deep within the pile before the wet-cleaning process begins.

Would you have guessed this much could come out of one rug?

Five rugs turning through the wash.

No music. No voiceover. Just the sound of the wash tub.

Turn the volume up.

Five rugs. One wash tub.
A busy day in the wash room.

How many do you think we can fit in next? 😅

This Turkish Bergama was woven around 1890–1910 and has survived well over a century.

Its bold tribal design, latch-hook medallion, natural dyes and distinctive wear patterns all help tell the story of where it came from.

Did you recognise it before the reveal?
