Today’s weather might not convince you… but it IS the start of British Summer Time ☀️
With the clocks going forward, we’re heading into the season where insect activity really starts to pick up, especially bees and wasps!
But did you know there’s a big difference between a bee swarm and a wasp infestation? 🐝
Bee swarms are usually seen in spring, with large clusters of bees resting temporarily. Bee’s are generally calm and not aggressive and will move on within a day or two. These are best left alone or handled by a beekeeper.
On the flip side, wasps tend to start building nests in spring and become more aggressive as the season goes on. They will typically return and grow in numbers if untreated and are commonly found in lofts, wall cavities and gardens.
