To us, it's just a small gap beneath a shutter door but to a rodent, it's the perfect way in.

🐭 Mice can squeeze through gaps as small as 6 mm.

🐀 Rats only need 15–20 mm to gain access.

The buzzing isn't over… it's just changed! 🐝

Over the past few weeks, we've seen plenty of bee swarms, but as summer settles in, we're now starting to receive bookings for wasp nest treatments.

Bee swarms are usually temporary, relatively calm, and are often collected by local beekeepers. Wasps on the other hand, build nests that continue to grow throughout the summer. The earlier a nest is dealt with, the easier it is to manage before the colony reaches its peak ‼️

This wasp nest was hidden away in a loft space, one of the most common places we find them.

If you're noticing a steady stream of wasps flying to and from the same spot around your home or business, there's a good chance there's a nest nearby! 🔭

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandads and father figures out there! We hope you're enjoying a well-earned treat today! 👏

As much as we love the warmer weather, we're not the only ones. Summer means pest season is well and truly underway, with wasps, ants and other unwanted visitors becoming much more active.

So while you're enjoying BBQs, lounging in the garden and plenty of ice cream, keep an eye out for any early signs of pest activity.

🐝🌍 World Bee Day Protecting Our Pollinators 🌍🐝

Today is World Bee Day, a reminder of how important bees are to our environment and food supply. Around a third of the food we eat depends on pollinators like bees! 🍓🌻🍎

At Removapest, we always encourage safe and responsible pest control methods that help protect beneficial insects wherever possible. Bees play a vital role in nature and unlike wasps, they should never be harmed unless there is a genuine risk to safety.

If you discover a swarm of bees, don’t panic they are usually temporary and can often be safely relocated by a local beekeeper. 🐝
