SEVERE FLEA INFESTATION – HEADINGLEY, LEEDS

We carried out a site survey in Headingley, Leeds after our client’s tenant had moved out & discovered a heavy infestation of cat fleas throughout the property, with the highest activity in the living room and multiple bedrooms.

As you’ll see in the short video, the fleas were jumping & crawling all over our technician due to the sheer numbers present.

Hundreds of wasps congregating outside this nest we had just treated in the Middleton area of Leeds. They’d completely taken over the hanging basket bracket, and as soon as we got close, they weren’t happy!

Another busy day with yet another active wasp nest successfully treated, this time at a domestic property in the Middleton area of Leeds.

The wasps had managed to gain access into the bathroom and had established a nest within the property, causing obvious concern for our client. Thankfully, we were able to safely locate the nest and carry out a full treatment.

WASP NEST TREATED & REMOVED – BIRSTALL, BATLEY

Another wasp nest successfully treated & removed today from an extremely tight loft space at a domestic property in the Birstall area of Batley.

Access was very restricted, but the nest was safely dealt with & completely removed, giving our client peace of mind.

FULL RODENT SURVEY – SEACROFT, LEEDS

Another full rodent survey completed today for a lovely couple who have recently purchased their new home in the Seacroft area of Leeds.

The survey was requested after their homebuyer’s report highlighted signs of previous rodent activity but couldn’t confirm whether the infestation was still active.

Following a thorough inspection of the property, we’re pleased to say no fresh evidence of rat activity was found. What we did discover was a historic infestation dating back several years, with old droppings, previous pest control methods, and long-standing evidence confirming the issue had been dealt with in the past.

We also identified an issue with the external drainage, where the gully was missing its drain b**g and had no water seal, creating a potential route for rodents to gain access in the future.

Our recommendations to the new homeowners were:
• Full loft clearance to remove historic contamination and old rodent evidence

• Replacement of the damaged gully to eliminate a potential ingress point

Buying a property with a history of rodents doesn’t always mean there’s an active infestation. A professional survey can provide peace of mind while identifying any preventative work needed to keep the property rodent-free.

FIELD MICE RIDDANCE PROGRAMME – BRADFORD

A field mouse riddance programme has now been set up at a domestic property in the Calverley, Bradford area following reports of field mice being seen and heard within the first floor and kitchen areas of the property.

During our inspection, we identified the likely ingress point being used by the mice to gain access. If you look closely at the video, you can just make out the smear marks left behind from repeated mouse activity as they travel in and out of the opening.

Control measures have now been implemented, and we’ll continue to monitor the activity over the coming visits before carrying out any necessary proofing works to permanently prevent re-entry.

ANOTHER BUSY WASP NEST TREATED – WAKEFIELD

Another busy wasp nest has been successfully treated at a domestic property in the Wakefield area. This nest was located directly beneath the living room bay window, preventing our client from safely opening the window due to the high level of wasp activity.

As you can see from the attached video, the nest was extremely active, with a constant flow of wasps entering and leaving.

If you’ve got an active wasp nest, we strongly recommend not attempting to treat it yourself. At this time of year, nests are at their largest and the wasps can become extremely defensive and aggressive when disturbed. Leave it to a professional to deal with safely.

ONGOING HOUSE MOUSE (Mus musculus) INFESTATION – HOLBECK, LEEDS

A new site has now been set up to manage an ongoing house mouse (Mus musculus) infestation at this commercial premises in the Holbeck area of Leeds, following reports of mouse activity within the staff canteen.

During our inspection, significant evidence of house mouse activity was identified behind a commercial fridge. Further investigation found that the mice had gnawed through the plasterboard at the rear of the unit, creating an access point into the wall void. This has allowed them to travel freely throughout the kitchen and canteen areas.

Control measures have now been implemented, with monitoring points and control equipment installed to bring the infestation under control. We will continue to monitor the site with regular follow-up visits and provide further proofing recommendations once activity has been eliminated.

ANOTHER BUSY MORNING ON THE WASPS IN THE MORLEY AREA OF LEEDS

We had multiple wasp nests booked in for treatment this morning, and all have now been successfully dealt with.

This particular nest was at a domestic property in the Bramley area of Leeds, where our client had noticed a substantial amount of wasps flying in and out of an air vent at the side of the property.

The nest has now been successfully treated.

Please note that our company owner, Kieran, is away until Thursday. We still have a technician available carrying out treatments and attending booked appointments. Any previous jobs that Kieran was personally dealing with will be resumed from Thursday onwards.
