Our first Queen wasp of the year at a customers premises today, conveniently while we were on site. As spring arrives the wasps and ants will increase in numbers. Although we don’t do work at domestic properties we do still receive occasional calls. Our advice is always the same -

1) There’s no need to use the national companies, there’s a multitude of good independent pest controllers out there at a fraction of the cost.

2) Choose a pest controller who is a member of the National Pest Technicians Association or British Pest Controllers Association. Both have websites where you can search for a technician in your local area.

More fly screens installed at a local college. 15 internal windows fitted with sliding screens built onto a UPVC sub frame. 2 external steel box sections, powder coated to the exact colour of the existing window frames. Helping to protect the kitchens against flying insect ingress and helping to maintain their 5 star hygiene rating.

People tell us so often that they couldn’t do our job for love or money but we absolutely love the variation. No two days are ever the same. Today we’d met with an Environmental Officer to discuss a rat infested street that’s impacting on a college we look after. Then cleaned and sanitised an apartment block meter room that had hundreds of rat droppings in before working for the National Police Air Service at their helicopter base. All before midday 💪

Delivery of 6 of the latest flying insect control units to our customer today. Continued growth means they’re moving into their 3rd site since launch.

These L.E.D. units use up to 80% less power of standard flourecent tubes machines, the bulbs last for around 3 years, saving time and costs of annual bulb changes that are the norm.

The pest prevention service is tailored to help the customer continue to achieve SALSA food industry accreditation. SALSA approval is only granted to suppliers who are able to demonstrate to an auditor that they are able to produce and supply safe and legal food and are committed to continually meeting the requirements of the SALSA standard. Hull this week for an international supermarket where the loading bay had become home to a colony of feral pigeons. The whole area has been cleaned, treated with a biocide and proofed against any further pigeon issues.

Huge pigeon proofing job completed in Withernsea this week. Over 1200 square mtr roof netted off against pigeon ingress. Clean and biocide treatment of the whole area. The team worked through rain, gales and sunshine to complete the job on time for the customer. Great effort !
