💦 CHILD LABOUR… I MEAN, WORK EXPERIENCE 😂 💦

Super busy one today with a full day of window cleans, and with me still recovering, Freddie got drafted in as my temporary assistant. 💪🏻

His official job description consisted mainly of carrying, pulling, reeling, fetching things and generally doing everything that currently requires two fully functioning hands. 😂

Massive thank you to all our customers today who made him feel so welcome — especially for the little tips, drinks and treats he was given along the way. He was absolutely buzzing with it all! ❤️

Now, judging by the photo, you’d be forgiven for thinking his main responsibility was sitting around playing with customers’ dogs… 🐶

But credit where it’s due, the lad has worked like an absolute trooper all day and barely complained. 💪🏻

He’s now asking when he gets paid…

Apparently “food and a roof over your head” isn’t an acceptable wage these days. 🙄😂

🧹 SUNDAY CLEAN COMPLETE! 🧹

We’ve been out this Sunday giving a lovely customer’s home a good clean ✨🏡

But we need to settle something…

Apparently there’s a bit of controversy flying around social media about Hoover Lines 👀😂

You know the ones… those perfectly satisfying lines that say “yep, these stairs have definitely been hoovered!”

But it seems they’re dividing opinion!

So where do you stand?

👍 FOR — give me those satisfying lines!

👎 AGAINST — just hoover them normally!

With the hosepipe ban and drought status currently in place, I’ve had quite a few customers asking whether I’m still allowed to carry out exterior cleaning.

The answer is YES! 🙌

As a professional exterior cleaning business, we’re exempt from the hosepipe restrictions when using water as part of our work, so your window cleaning and exterior cleaning can continue as normal.

So don’t worry if you see me outside with the water-fed pole… I’m not breaking the rules! 😂

And while I’m doing your windows, just ask nicely and I might accidentally give the flowers a little sprinkle on the way past… 🌸😂💦

One week on from surgery…

I’ve discovered two things:

1. Parent duty during half term is a full-time job with no tea breaks.
2. Watching everyone else work while I’m stuck at home is absolute torture!

Keeping busy with the kids has definitely helped the time pass, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t itching to get back out there. I never thought I’d actually miss cleaning windows and blasting patios… but here we are!

On a serious note though, I just want to say thank you.

To everyone who’s booked work in while I’ve been recovering, and to all of my regular customers who continue to support me month after month – thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Running a small family business can be a bit of a rollercoaster, and the support you’ve shown me over the last week has meant more than you’ll ever know. Every booking, recommendation and kind message reminds me why I do what I do.

I’ll be back doing what I love before long… although I might have to pretend I’m not enjoying the first few days back after all this sitting around!

Thank you all for sticking with me. I genuinely have the best customers anyone could ask for. 💙
