I will not and will never slander a good business. I will however shout as loud as I can to potentially stop anyone having to go through the same absolute nonsense that me and my wife have and are still going through with this company Motorvogue Kings Lynn. I urge all of you lovely lot to steer clear of this business.
Facts are facts and we have receipts to prove this. Please feel free to share to help stop others making the same mistake as we did.
I went to Motorvogue to buy a brand new Jaecoo J7. Turns out I actually got myself a part time administrative role.
Within 48 hours it was back.
The GardX looked like it’d been applied by a toddler. Three attempts later… still glue on the paintwork. You’d think after the third go someone would’ve thought, maybe this isn’t working.
Then it went in for a wheel alignment. Came back with three warning lights. I wasn’t aware wheel alignment now included the mystery dashboard lights package, but here we are.
My favourite part was when I was told my brand new Jaecoo J7 was off to Norwich for repair.
It wasn’t.
It turns out a friend of one of the managers, who wasn’t even affiliated with Motorvogue, was going to do them a favour and try fix my brand new car instead.
When that didn’t happen, the story changed again. Then started the game of Guess Where Your Car Is.
“It’s in Norwich.”
Car tracker: “No, it’s in King’s Lynn.”
“A specialist is coming.”
Tracker: “Bush Tyres North Lynn.”
At this point I trusted my tracker more than anyone I spoke to.
Eventually I’d had enough and rejected the car under the Consumer Rights Act. I thought that was the hard bit…
How wrong was I.
The £500 reservation deposit that was supposed to take five working days? Around three weeks.
The £5,000 deposit? Had to chase that too.
The finance settlement? Still chasing that.
At one point I genuinely refused to hand the courtesy/manager’s car back until my £5,000 was actually in my bank account because by then I had absolutely no confidence I’d ever see it otherwise. The fact it even got to that point says everything.
Then came the finance.
Motorvogue: “It’s been settled.”
Creation: “No it hasn’t.”
Motorvogue: “Here’s proof.”
Creation: “We’ve never received it.”
Me: “ No F@£)ing clue anymore”
Months later I’m still having finance payments taken, it’s still showing on my credit file and it’s now holding up my remortgage. Apparently my new monthly hobby is ringing Creation to make sure they don’t take another payment.
I’ve honestly spent that much time chasing this that I feel like I should’ve been put on the payroll.
The communication has been…shall we say interesting.
If I’ll call you back was a genuine promise, I’d probably still be waiting by the phone.
If It’s all sorted meant absolutely nothing has changed, then 10/10.
I’ve been into the dealership more times than I’ve been to Tesco this year. I’ve emailed, phoned, chased, emailed again, phoned again and at one point was ready to drive to Norwich Showground to find a senior management because that genuinely seemed easier than waiting for a reply.
Mistakes happen. I get that. But what I don’t get is how so many managers can be involved in one complaint and somehow nobody actually takes ownership.
If you’re looking to buy a car, I wouldn’t recommend Motorvogue.
However, if you’re looking for a part time admin job with no staff benefits, where your role includes chasing managers, finance companies and refunds, all while receiving little to no communication… then I’d highly recommend them. Five stars for the work experience.
One star only because Google doesn’t let you leave none.
P.S
Before anyone from Motorvogue dusts off the copy and paste reply…
Please save yourselves the effort.
I already know it’ll say something along the lines of:
“We’re sorry you feel this way… we take your feedback seriously… we’ve shared this with senior management… we’d like the opportunity to discuss this further…”
I’ve seen it under enough one star reviews to know it by heart.
Instead of practising your copy and paste skills, maybe send an email to Creation with the payment you assured me had been sent to them.
(FYI The car in the picture is the managers car along with his lovely warm coat)
UPDATE - Facebook post must of worked call from Motovouge this AM to confirm payment has left the bank. Now a call from creation to confirm account closed and my refunds are coming back to me 🙌
Thank you for everyone who shared & commented there own experiences. However anyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of Motorvouge stay VERY clear or clear your diary for a lengthy few months of HELL!
