Just a little patio we finished last week. 🤩

Literally been having nightmares about black spot ever since this job🤣😂.. was riddled. 😅

The next door neighbour had their patio cleaned by a different company.. they took their money but sadly didn’t come back and re-sand. So I ended up sanding their patio for free as felt like they took advantage of them and it’s not in my nature, not help out and that’s definitely not how you run business!.

We are fully insured ✅

This is a soft wash job for a render clean we recently done in hythe. 🏡

No pressure washing required!.. as will damage the render as you can see the customer has already had a go at pressure washing the render but it’s a big no no.🚫

The chemicals we use are engineered for the sole purpose of cleaning render and are not sold over the shelf. You are required to hold a HSE license for this job to be carried out.

This beautiful property is located in hythe, with these lovely red acme peg tiles. 🏡

Firstly, we started with the roof clean.. we do not get on your roof, all work is done from a scaffolding tower ⚒️. We started by removing, all the moss, dirt and grime with low pressure and a surface cleaner attachment and then applied a biocide treatment to get rid of all the remaining growth that the low pressure clean couldn’t. 🦠

Secondly, we clear all gutters and down pipes and clean all gutter fascia’s and soffits and then started to clean the car port with the same cleaning method as the roof, which came up like new 🤩

Thirdly, we then proceeded to ground floor, to start cleaning the render, the customer has already had a go but has used a pressure washer, which is strictly forbidden on render 🚫. With all types on render you only use chemicals, rinse repeat until it look as clean as it does on the photo. 😁

Cleaning a Natural slate tiled roof is one of the most technical roof cleans in my opinion. 🏡

Whats so technical about Cleaning a natural slate roof, you may ask❓

There’s a natural process call delamination and in some cases but not all; with the moss build up on your roof, it causes moisture absorption within your slate tile.
Due to the freeze cycles we have in the UK, this causes the moisture to expand leading to the slate to flake and break the layered bonding within the slate tile. 🤓

These assessments are critical before the cleaning process can begin.
This is to check the integrity of your roof tile.
This process is normally found on an old aged slate tiled roof. ⚒️

Composite slate tiled roof. 🏡

Unlike a natural slate tiled roof, you don’t have to worry about the process called delamination, which causes the natural slate to flake. So extra precautionary measures are taken when cleaning.💧

Instead, with composite slate tiled roof when cleaning, If you apply to use too much pressure on the roof, you can take off the colour coating, which can expose the fibres in the slate and can turn them white. ⚠️

Soo Always!… When we’re cleaning natural or composite slate tiled roof, low pressure clean is an upmost certainty, followed by a biocide treatment to avoid everything mentions above. 🫡

On this job we changed a couple of composite slate tiles and also we re-aligned quite a few tiles above the dormer on the back of the property, as you can see on the video. 😎
