⚠️ Rouge Trading Alert ⚠️
Today I checked up on an elderly customer that had her gutters "cleaned" this afternoon by another window cleaner. She was charged £90 for this.
Upon inspection, I found that the guttering was not properly cleared, downpipes blocked and the soffits fascia’s and guttering was not cleaned at all. The contents of the gutters was dumped on the adjoining utility rooms roof. The windows still had birds strikes and cobwebs were on all frames. Please see attached photos of his work.
I contacted this cleaner asking him to return to the house to discuss the matter. He gave an excuse that he had to leave as his daughter was ill, and that he planned to return tomorrow at 10am. He did not take the time to tell the customer of his intentions although he did take the time to take her money. I do not believe he had any intention of returning.
The customer is 85 years old, lives by herself and is very vulnerable.
He has paid her the money back and I will be cleaning her house for FREE tomorrow.
This rogue trading in our area needs to be highlighted.

This should not be allowed to happen. Protecting the vulnerable should be everyone’s responsibility.
