We need your views on mole traps!

The Government has announced a review of mole traps as part of the Animal Welfare Strategy for England. BPCA is gathering feedback from pest professionals, manufacturers and suppliers to understand how mole traps are used in practice and what any future changes could mean for the sector.

Your input will help us represent the industry and ensure policymakers understand the real-world impact on pest management businesses.

The survey takes around five minutes to complete and can be
done anonymously.

The government has published its Animal Welfare Strategy for England 📝 setting out a series of commitments that could have significant implications for wildlife control and pest management activity.

BPCA met with Defra at the end of 2025 to discuss the strategy and will be following up with more detail and member feedback 📢

❗Glue trap sales changes can move forward ➡️

This means that Scotland will be free to implement a ban on the sale of rodent glue boards 🚫 and while we'll keep applying pressure, the government confirmed it has no current plans for an England-wide or Northern Ireland ban.
