Picked up a new customer recently.
Had someone else sweep it for a few years.
Called me out to have a look and discovered the baffle plate was seized and warped due to the heat and wedged in the wrong position,causing incomplete combustion.
The inside of the stove was filthy,the clay firebricks were cracked and rear blanking plate was hanging off 👀
No problem,new parts ordered and fitted plus a complimentary spray of the fluepipe and a bit of stove polish on the top 🔥

The Chimney Sweep industry has moved on in recent years with lots of professional equipment available.
HEPA double motor vacuums with clean filtered air,bespoke soot sheets which enable us to sweep with a tight seal/no soot leakage,quality various sized brushes (from 4” through to 36” for Inglenooks) and waterproof ground sheets.
This means sweeping is no longer “dirty work” and a worry for customers.
We also maintain and supply & fit replacement parts for stoves,fit birdguards/cowls,complete contract work for letting agents,remove moss from roofs/clear gutters and more…..

The spring/summer is the best time to book us in as it gets insanely busy from the end of August 📲

A challenging but ultimately very rewarding day working with Gary Budd ☕️☕️
Broken glass replaced on an Arc 5
and old baffle plates updated with more modern ones at the next job,having to dismantle the components and refit.
We do much more than just sweeping these days
