Shorter days, darker nights 🌙 Smoke tests going in the right direction 💨 with our son Tyler assisting! 👏 One day I’ll get Lee doing a daily vlog 😂

🔥 Pellet burners can need a little extra care and attention when it comes to sweeping!

On this one, we had to strip the stove down just to get to the access point to sweep. My latest purchase of the mini viper came in handy and we got the job done!

All cleaned out and back up and running for our lovely customer, ready for the colder months ahead. And wow, this stove really does chuck out some heat! 🥵🔥

The top down method hardly ever fails! Give it a try, especially on those colder nights where your chimney/flue may have, what we call a cold plug. This should stop smoke blowing back, as the kindling is heating the flue, shifting the cold plug in the correct direction before catching the logs which produce the most smoke! Let us know how you get on!

Hi everyone!
We’re receiving a lot of enquiries at the moment from people hoping to get their chimneys swept ASAP.

Our diary is very busy, with lots of lovely customers already booked in and dates secured, but please don’t let that put you off getting in touch. We’re absolutely still taking bookings! We just may not always be able to offer the date you’re hoping for, particularly at short notice.

The honest truth is, there are only so many hours in the day, and even fewer daylight hours to work with at this time of year! 😅 We can only fit so many sweeps in safely and properly, and as much as we’d love to help everyone, we simply can’t be everywhere at once.

It’s always a shame when we can’t get to someone as quickly as they need, and we completely understand that you may have to try elsewhere if you need an appointment urgently. But please don’t mistake a busy diary for not wanting your custom — we’d love to get to you!

This is also why we always encourage booking ahead where possible. Leaving it until you need your chimney swept immediately can mean a bit of a wait, especially during our busiest months.

We never want to let anyone down, and we’ll always be honest about our availability.

Thank you so much to everyone who books with us 🔥

You are keeping us busy, thank you so much for choosing Jackson Sweeps! 🧹🔥 with a scroll through these pictures, you will spot our new piece of equipment helping us tackle those tricky AGAs and pellet stoves, plus our new apprentice, Tyler! 👨‍🔧❤️ Our son has been helping Lee with some of our Cowl/C-Cap installations, so we’re keeping it all in the family! Please give Tyler a wave if you see him! 👋
A little reminder of just how much soot can build up in ONE year (and a poor little bird we couldn’t rescue 😔🐦). Please make sure your stove is swept at least once a year – it really is so important!
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone recommending us to friends, family and neighbours. ❤️ We’ve loved meeting so many new faces and catching up with all our lovely regular customers. We appreciate every single one of you! 🏡

A clean, clear flue is essential for your chimney to work safely and efficiently. Over time, soot, tar, creosote and other debris can build up inside the flue restricting airflow, see picture below!

These pictures from today show just how important regular sweeping is. Once all that build-up is removed, you can see the difference straight away. 🧹
