🐝 MEET ONE OF NATURE'S TINIEST PEST CONTROLLERS!

Did you know that tiny parasitic wasps can help control carpet moth infestations without the need for insecticide spraying?

Meet Trichogramma evanescens - a wasp so small it's almost invisible to the naked eye!

Unlike conventional insecticide treatments, which can require residents to leave their property for several hours, these little wasps get to work while you carry on with your day.

🔍 How do they work?

They search for moth eggs hidden amongst carpets and furnishings, preventing them from developing into destructive larvae. Without suitable moth eggs, their population naturally dies out.

🏛️ Perfect for sensitive environments!

Have valuable paintings, antiques, historic carpets or delicate furnishings?

Spraying and fogging aren't always suitable around valuable possessions. These remarkable little wasps offer a biological alternative without applying insecticides.

✅ No need to leave your property

✅ No insecticide spraying required

✅ Almost invisible to the naked eye

✅ Helps break the moth breeding cycle

✅ Suitable for consideration in historic and sensitive properties

Existing larvae may still require additional treatment.

Sometimes the smallest creatures can make the biggest difference!

🐀 RATS IN YOUR HOUSE? THE PROBLEM COULD BE UNDERGROUND!

Did you know that around 99% of the rat infestations we attend at Glevum Pest Control can be traced back to the sewer or drainage system?

One of the biggest things our customers struggle to understand is how rats living underground can end up in their kitchens, walls or even lofts!

🏠 So how does it happen?

Rats are excellent climbers and can squeeze through surprisingly small gaps.

If an underground drain is broken, damaged or has an open joint, rats can escape into the surrounding ground. From there, they can exploit gaps around foundations, enter wall cavities and travel through hidden spaces inside your property.

This means a rat you hear scratching in your loft could have originally entered through a damaged drain beneath your house!

🔍 This is why finding the source of an infestation is so important.

Simply catching or poisoning rats doesn't necessarily solve the problem if the original entry point remains open.

At Glevum Pest Control, we don't just focus on removing rats. We investigate how they're getting in and recommend ways to help prevent them returning.

🐀 Don't just treat the infestation. Find out where it's coming from!

🎃👻 WHO YOU GONNA CALL? GLEVUM PEST CONTROL!

🛏️ BED BUGS - 5 FRIGHTENING FACTS YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW! 😱

🩸 1. They're nighttime bloodsuckers!
Bed bugs feed on your blood, usually while you're sleeping!

✈️ 2. They're world travellers!
They can be found in hotels, aeroplanes, buses, trains, cinemas and even five-star accommodation!

👣 3. They'll travel for their next meal!
Bed bugs have been known to travel over 100 feet in a single night looking for a blood meal!

⏳ 4. They're survivors!
They can survive for months without feeding!

🥚 5. One can become hundreds!
Just one mated female can start an entire infestation!

🎃 BUT DON'T PANIC!

At Glevum Pest Control, we treat anywhere from 5-10 properties a week for bed bugs.

We understand professional treatment can be expensive, and why people turn to products from B&Q or Amazon.

However, bed bugs can be incredibly difficult to eliminate, and some have developed resistance to commonly used insecticides.

Our advice? If you can afford professional treatment, it's worth getting the job done properly.

We inspect, investigate and use specialist monitoring where needed, because finding bed bugs in one bedroom doesn't mean they're not hiding elsewhere!

👻 THIS HALLOWEEN, DON'T LET THE BED BUGS BITE!

23 YEARS IN CATERING. NOW HELPING PROTECT THE INDUSTRY I LOVE.

Before establishing Glevum Pest Control, I spent 23 years working as a professional chef, having the privilege of working alongside some of the best in the catering industry.

I know what goes on behind the scenes in a busy professional kitchen.

I understand the pressures of running a restaurant, pub, café or hotel. I understand the importance of food hygiene, stock control, maintaining high standards and being prepared for environmental health inspections.

And most importantly, I understand just how damaging a pest problem can be to a hospitality business.

That's why I'm passionate about helping protect the industry I spent so much of my working life in.

At Glevum Pest Control, we offer:

- Professional pest monitoring and prevention
- Rodent and insect management
- Thorough inspections and detailed recommendations
- Identification of pest entry points and proofing solutions
- Practical advice to reduce the risk of future infestations
- Flexible pest-management visits tailored to your business

Whether your premises require fortnightly, monthly, six-weekly or eight-weekly visits, we can put together a pest-management programme that suits your requirements.

NO LONG-TERM CONTRACTS. NO UNNECESSARY TREATMENTS. JUST PROFESSIONAL PEST MANAGEMENT.

My aim is simple: to help keep your premises pest-free, protect your business and give you one less thing to worry about.

I am more than happy to visit your premises, discuss your requirements and provide a competitive quotation with no obligation.

If you own or manage a restaurant, pub, café, hotel or commercial kitchen in Gloucestershire or the surrounding areas, I'd love to hear from you.

🐀 PEST CONTROL, ARE YOU PAYING FOR A SOLUTION OR JUST ANOTHER VISIT?

Something that's frustrated me for years within the pest control industry is the difference between professional pest management and simply servicing bait stations.

Having started my career with one of the largest pest control companies in the world, I've spent years learning my trade, gaining experience and understanding what it really takes to manage pest problems effectively.

And one thing I've learnt is that putting a few bait boxes around a building doesn't automatically make you a good pest controller.

If you're a business owner paying for a monthly pest control contract, ask yourself:

Are you receiving a thorough inspection?

Is your pest controller identifying entry points, harbourage and the underlying causes of pest activity?

Are you being given practical recommendations to prevent problems returning?

Is appropriate, secure equipment being used for your particular environment?

Or is somebody simply turning up, checking a few boxes, replacing some bait and leaving until the next visit?

There's a massive difference.

Personally, I believe in investing in quality equipment, using effective professional treatments when appropriate, and most importantly, identifying and addressing the actual problem.

If an infestation can be resolved in two or three visits, that's exactly what I want to achieve.

I'm not interested in dragging a problem out unnecessarily.

Of course, some infestations are complicated, and ongoing preventative pest management is incredibly important, particularly in food establishments, schools and commercial environments.

But every visit should have a purpose.

Cheap pest control isn't always bad pest control. And expensive pest control isn't automatically good pest control.

What really matters is the experience, knowledge, attention to detail and results you're receiving.

Whether you're protecting a restaurant, a school, a warehouse or a business with hundreds of thousands of pounds' worth of equipment, you should expect a professional service.

Because ultimately, you're not paying somebody to look after a collection of bait boxes.

You're paying somebody to protect your business.

And that, in my opinion, is what professional pest management should be about.

Are you paying too much for pest control?

This post is aimed at local pubs, restaurants, hotels, care homes and catering businesses across Herefordshire & Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.

I’m Kevin, and before getting into pest control I spent 23 years working as a chef in the hospitality industry, so I understand how tough the industry can be and how quickly costs can start piling up.

If you already have a pest control provider but feel you’re paying too much, not getting the service you expect, or you’re simply trying to reduce your overheads, I’d be happy to have a look at what you currently have in place.

Where possible, Glevum Pest Control can save businesses up to 15% on their current pest control costs.

No hard sell.

No long contracts.

No trying to sell you things you don’t need.

You deal directly with me.

If you’re happy with your current provider, that’s absolutely fine.

But if you think you could be getting better value or a more personal service, give me a call or text and we can have a quick chat.
