Some things are built to last more than one generation. You can feel it before you even light the first fire 🔥

Dark anthracite steel. A clean, architectural frame. The kind of considered design that sits comfortably in a stone-walled cottage or a modern city build.

The steel has a depth to it that photographs never quite capture, which is exactly why it's worth seeing in person. It becomes the quiet centrepiece of a room long before the flames arrive. A proper focal point, whatever the space.

Since 1946, we've been helping Scottish homes find the right fire, and this is one we love to show off.

Come and see it in person at our Croftamie showroom (G63). We'd love to show you around and talk you through it.

Cast iron. Clean burn. Built to last a lifetime.

This is the Chesneys Salisbury 4WS MK3 up close, the way it deserves to be seen. A rope-sealed door, airwash glass that keeps the view clear, and a body finished with the kind of detail that rewards a second look. The sort of stove you buy once and never think twice about.

Scottish summer is the quiet season for fireplace work. A survey booked now means a finished install long before the first frosty mornings settle over the glens. No rush, no scramble in October.

If you'd like to see the Salisbury in person, our Croftamie showroom is open Mon–Fri 9–5 and Sat 10–5. We'd be delighted to help. 🔥

Family-run fireplace specialists since 1946.

Scottish summers are short. The kindling you stock in August is the fire you light in September without a second thought.

We kiln dry ours to under 12% moisture, which is what makes the difference when the first proper chill rolls in off the hills. It catches quickly, stores clean, and sits ready by the hearth long before you need it.

There's a quiet satisfaction in that bit of summer preparation. A basket set down beside the fire in the warm months, forgotten about, then waiting for you on the first cool evening of autumn.

It's the sort of small detail that makes lighting a fire feel effortless rather than a faff.

Available now at our showroom in Croftamie. We'd love to see you, and we're always happy to talk you through anything.

Heat moves. This helps it move better.

The Mini Viking Advanced Stove Fan sits quietly on the hearth and does one job well: pushing warm air out into the room instead of letting it pool above the stove.

No batteries. No wiring. The heat from the stove top drives the turbine, and the blades do the rest. A small object, precisely engineered.

It's the kind of detail that turns a good fire into a properly warm room. The whole space feels even, right through to the far corner where the chill usually lingers.

If you'd like to see it running on a live fire, pop into our Croftamie showroom (G63). We'd be delighted to show you how it works.

All the charm of an open coal fire. None of the mess. 🔥

The Chesneys DFE Gas Fire gives you a properly realistic coal-effect flame bed, set within a classic Scottish stone surround. No kindling, no ash to clear, no waiting for it to catch.

Turn it on, and the room is warm.

Modern gas control means you adjust the flame to suit the moment. Low and glowing on a quiet evening, or full warmth when the temperature drops outside. Available in both coal-effect and log-effect designs.

A traditional fireside look, made effortless for everyday Scottish winters.

If you're weighing up a gas fire for your home, pop into our showroom in Croftamie (G63). We'd be delighted to help.

9pm in July and the light is still pouring in. Scotland does this better than anywhere.

Long golden evenings, the quiet before the rain, a wool throw left over the armchair and a paperback gone unread.

These are the rooms we work in. Scottish homes, west-facing windows, the kind of light that asks you to slow down.

The fire isn't lit tonight. But come autumn, that same chair will face a real flame, and the evening will hold just as still.

Family-run fireplace specialists since 1946, here in Croftamie when the long nights return.

A grey July evening in Scotland still calls for a fire.

Each hand-carriable bag holds 10 to 14 logs, cut to a tidy 9 inches and kiln dried to below 20% moisture. A clean light, more heat, and less soot in your flue.

Ready to burn, whatever the Scottish summer decides to do.

Pop into the showroom in Croftamie (G63) to stock up, and we'd be delighted to help. Delivery also available.

Clean rectangular form. One hard sidelight. A shadow that does all the talking.

This is the Chesneys Serendipity Gas Stove, photographed top-down on warm travertine, the raking light from the left turning its balanced proportions into a geometric portrait.

No fuss. No clutter. Just a contemporary gas stove with a large flame view and minimalist lines that sit beautifully in a modern Scottish home.

You can see the Serendipity, alongside our live displays, at our Croftamie showroom (G63). We'd be delighted to talk you through it 🔥

Precision-welded steel, cooled slow, standing quiet in a Scottish living room.

The WIKING Mini 2 sits in its alcove beneath a natural oak beam, a stone hearth grounding it below. Matte black steel, clean Danish geometry, the kind of compact form that settles into a traditional home rather than shouting over it.

Built for smaller rooms and energy-efficient houses, this Danish stove burns cleanly and holds its warmth beautifully through a long Scottish winter. Four variants, each with that same understated character.

There's a quiet satisfaction in seeing it lit on a cold evening, oak beam glowing, the room turned cosy.

Come and see it in person at our Croftamie showroom, G63. We'd be delighted to help.

Even in July, a Scottish evening finds a reason to light the fire. 🔥

Barely the size of a side table, yet the WIKING Mini 2 fills a room with the kind of warmth and calm that only proper Scandinavian design delivers.

Compact and up on tall legs, with a glass door big enough to make a small firebox feel like the heart of the room. It's built in Denmark by HWAM, and comes with four leg configurations to suit the space you have.

Small stove, real warmth. Ideal for snugs, smaller living rooms, and those grey Scottish skies that never quite read the calendar.

Pop into our showroom in Croftamie (G63) to see it in person. We'd be delighted to help you find the right fit.
