Natural swimming pond, 40m long! This was our big project last year, settling in well now with pod by at far end. Huge transformation from old riding arena to swimpond with associated rock outcrops, blending seamlessly into the landscape and offering lots for the clients and wildlife. 🐚💦

Careful restore and rebuild of water feature Cromlix begins. Loads of beatifully mossed boulders throughout this old, possibly Victorian water feature, once fed by mains water ! We will be carefully picking it apart (with moss!) and rebuilding inside a watertight Epdm liner with recirculating pump as powering water features with mains water is a no no in this day&age restoring the hotel & grounds .

Finally ready to line the base of this mega 40m swim pond ! Team are doing some yoga moves down there I think 😂 we build most of the pool from the inside then thoroughly clean all the edges before lining the base and filling it up. Can’t wait to share the finished article in a month or so when it’s full of water.

Current swim pond project going well. We got the structure in on time before this weather turned so we’re now operating off solid concrete base. Getting to know all the boulders prior to placing them on the shelf. getting on well with the huge pod too !

Discovered pics of my degree show DJCAD 1997 where I just took my 17yr old son for a open day visit today. When I studied sculpture at DJCAD I explored the relationship of water in relation to natural form, a rewarding relationship which we all enjoy in so many aspects, I’m now lucky to be able to create such things in my work. I tried to appear as a serious artist during my degree show, meanwhile my parents planted rubber ducks into my serious water features 😂
