After careful consideration over the last few months (it really has taken me that long to be absolutely sure! 🫣), I've decided to increase my hourly rate from £15.00 to £17.50.

A little thank you to a fellow cleaner for giving me the confidence ❤️, and to the lovely clients who have already decided to give me a pay rise themselves - your kindness really meant so much 🥰.

In the 10 years I've been in business, I've only increased my prices twice: to £13 in 2022, and then to £15 a couple of years later. Since then, I've absorbed the rising costs of fuel, insurance, supplies and everything else that comes with running a business, but I've now reached the point where I need to make this change.

I always try to keep my services as affordable as possible while continuing to provide the reliable, caring service you know and trust, and I hope you understand.

I also have a new business account, which means I'll now be able to send invoices and payment links, making it even easier for those who prefer to pay digitally. I'll be in touch with everyone individually with the new details.

I've already started contacting clients, so thank you for your patience while I work my way through everyone!

New prices:

🐾 30-minute dog walk – £12.00
🐾 45-minute dog walk - £15.00
🐾 1-hour dog walk – £17.50
🧽 1-hour domestic clean – £17.50
🏡 Holiday pop-in/pet check-in – from £12.00

I don't currently have any cleaning availability, and I have a handful of people waiting. My youngest starts high school in September, so I may be able to open up a slot or two then.

I'll also be taking a little time out with my family at the beginning of the summer holidays, and then again at the end of August, to make some precious memories with my kids before they decide to completely bin me off ❤️

I thought it would be worth giving this a share. At one of Peppas routine health check ups, the vet said she had plaque build up and reccomended a clean under anaesthetic.

She's 10, we wanted to avoid putting her under if we could. My friend reccomended seaweed powder, she'd had great results with her elderly girl.

So we gave this a go, you have to be a bit patient, it can take around 4 weeks before you really notice a difference. But I have to say, after using this for a couple of months now there's a marked improvement in her breath HALLELUJAH and her teeth and gums look much better.

For her small size she only needs half a scoop sprinkling into her food each day, which is a very small sprinkle. So the pouch is going to last absolutely ages, so for just under a tenner for a 200g pouch it's a right bargain. X

Sorry I've not been able to walk any of my four legged friends, I think the temperature begins to come back down over the next day or two, so we should be back to normal next week 🐾🐾🐾

Curtains are drawn so there's no direct sunlight coming in, fans on, plenty of water, house feels cool. she's a happy chilled girl after a short stretch on the mount just after 7 this morning , may take her out after the footy tonight once its cooled off again x

Hey everyone,

I just have to have the uncomfortable conversation about payments.

I'm a self employed sole trader.

As much as I love my work, which I absolutely do ❤️ I love my cleaning round, I thoroughly enjoy the time I spend with my clients and cleaning homes and everything else that comes with it, and my pet care side, the gorgeous dogs, cats and small critters that I look after and walk 🐾

This is my income, this is how I make my living, and I graft hard for it too - at such a cheap rate, which I have begun to address.

I get it, we're all human and can forget things - totally guilty over here myself at times 🙌

I've had the odd late payment here or there over the years, and it's never a biggy I know it always pops up. However, just lately, I'm finding it happening a bit more frequently.

When a number of households are late paying, all at the same time, especially over weeks - thats really impactful upon a small business such as myself. I can't sustain it. If you're in difficulty, please reach out ❤️🙏

I've a waiting list of people literally waiting to pay me, if I put my business cap on, its mental I'm not yet booking them in.

It's hard for me posting this, it doesn't feel like me.

I truly love what I do, but it's unfortunately becoming a reoccurring issue.

Another downside of self employment is being sat here at this time of night, tackling admin after a long day and typing this.
