As a father of five, I started Buggy Repair Centre in 2010, originally selling second-hand baby goods. Over the years, the business evolved into specialising in buggy repairs and servicing, before expanding into deep cleaning.

I spent a couple of days training at the original Maclaren factory in England, learning how to service their buggies. This experience helped build the knowledge and skills we use today.

Our cleaning process combines steam cleaning with gentle, effective products. We avoid harsh chemicals, bleach or solvents, taking care to clean every part of your pram or buggy, leaving it fresh and ready for its next adventure.

As our customers' little ones grow up, our customer base naturally changes every few years, so we thought it was a good time to introduce ourselves to any new followers.

We're Buggy Repair Centre, based in Edinburgh, and we've been repairing, servicing and cleaning prams and pushchairs for over 16 years.

Here's a quick rundown:

We specialise in smaller repairs that can help keep your buggy going, from wheels, tyres, bearings and brakes to latches and poppers, harnesses and other replaceable parts.

Where possible, we can also source and order replacement parts from manufacturers or our suppliers. We'll always let you know if a repair isn't practical or if parts are no longer available.

🧼 Deep cleaning & valeting
We give prams, pushchairs and travel systems a thorough clean, helping to remove everyday dirt, stains, mould and unpleasant smells.

👶 Travel systems & car seats
We can clean and service the different components of your travel system, including carrycots, seats and car seats.

✨ Coach-built & vintage prams
We also specialise in cleaning and repairing traditional coach-built prams, helping to bring them back to life.

🚗 Home collection service
If getting your pram to us is difficult, we also offer a home collection and return service for cleaning and valeting jobs in and around Edinburgh.

Just finished restoring this Silver Cross doll’s pram that had been sitting in storage for quite some time.

It needed a chassis repair, a few scratches touched up, the tyres whitened, and a full service and clean. Now it’s looking fresh and ready to roll again.

We don’t just restore classics, we also clean and service all modern prams and buggies too. If yours could do with some care, feel free to get in touch.

Just finished giving this 9-year-old Greentom stroller a full deep clean and service, and it’s ready for its next little passenger.

What really stands out about Greentom is how well these buggies last. This stroller has already been through one family and is now ready for a fresh start with another child — which says a lot about the quality behind the simple design.

Greentom is a Dutch company making lightweight, affordable strollers from recycled plastics and recycled bottles, with a focus on sustainability and durability. They prove that you don’t need lots of complicated parts or expensive materials to make a buggy that lasts for years.

I love the simplicity of these strollers — they’re light, practical, easy to maintain, and built to keep going, even after nearly a decade of use.

Seeing a 9-year-old buggy come through the workshop still in great shape is exactly why I appreciate brands that design with longevity in mind. It’s better for families, better for the environment, and shows that sustainable products really can stand the test of time.
