With the amount of rain we’ve been having recently, now is a good time to make sure your gutters are working properly.

I’m in Wallington today carrying out a gutter clearance after the homeowner noticed water overflowing during the heavy rain.

One thing that sets my service apart is that I don’t simply clear gutters from the ground using a pole system. I work from ladders, allowing me to inspect the gutters properly as I go. This means I can identify leaking joints, damaged brackets, incorrect falls and any other issues that could be affecting their performance.

Using a professional gutter vacuum system, I clear the gutters thoroughly while checking the entire system is functioning as it should. Many gutter problems only become obvious during wet weather, which is why now is the perfect time to have them inspected.

With all the rain we’re having at the moment, it’s worth taking a quick look at your gutters while it’s actually raining.

It’s the easiest time to spot any problems. Check that all your outlets are running properly, look out for any overflowing gutters, and keep an eye out for any constant drips from joints or unions underneath the guttering.

A small leak or blockage can often go unnoticed until it starts causing damp issues internally or staining on walls.

It only takes a couple of minutes to walk around the house and have a look while the rain is coming down.

🌧️ Been hearing dripping, overflowing gutters or noticing damp patches since all this rain? 🌧️

Today’s job in West Clandon was a perfect example of why gutter maintenance is so important.

The customer contacted us after noticing several leaks during the recent heavy downpours. On inspection, the gutters were completely packed with moss and debris, the downpipes were blocked, and multiple joints had started leaking.

After a full inspection, we:

✔️ Removed all moss, dirt and debris
✔️ Cleared the blocked downpipes
✔️ Repaired leaking sections of guttering
✔️ Sealed the faulty joints
✔️ Flushed and tested the entire system

The difference was immediate. Water now flows exactly where it should with no leaks and no overflowing gutters.

With the amount of rain we’ve had recently, now is a good time to check your gutters before a small issue turns into water damage, damp or costly repairs.

A few more photos from this sandstone restoration in East Grinstead.

2 days of repeat treatments, specialist etching products, plenty of scrubbing, and a final biocide treatment to help keep it looking its best.

Really pleased with how this one came up. The true finish will come to light once this amazing transformation fully dry’s👌

2 days of hard work, repeat treatments, specialist etching products and plenty of scrubbing, but we got there in the end!

This sandstone is now looking fresh again and has received a follow-up biocide treatment to help keep algae, moss and lichen at bay for longer.

A lot of effort goes into achieving results like these, but it’s always worth it when you see the transformation.

On a new 150m² sandstone restoration project today. Unfortunately the weather has slowed us down a little, but we’re still on track to complete the restoration tomorrow.

This sandstone has seen years of dirt, algae and weathering, but with the correct cleaning and restoration process we’re bringing it back to life and restoring its natural colour and character.

Keep an eye out for the before and after photos tomorrow – this one is going to look like a completely different patio once finished!

Busy day today!

Started the day in Dormans Park, sanding and restoring a lovely driveway, followed by a full uPVC restoration on a conservatory and streak-free window cleaning using our pure water system.

We then carried out a deep clean of a porcelain patio, removing stubborn BBQ grease stains and restoring the surface to a fresh, clean finish. (Photo of oil stain removal in process) While we were there, we also gave the customer’s resin side path a complimentary clean.

Next up was rubber stain removal and rust treatment works, tackling some stubborn marks and bringing the paving back to its best.

We finished the day working on an older oil stain on a driveway. These can be particularly challenging depending on the age of the stain and how deeply the oil has penetrated the surface. A range of specialist treatments are being used, and while it may take a few visits to achieve the best possible result, we’re already seeing progress.

A busy but rewarding day with some fantastic transformations along the way!
