🐝 Wasp season has officially started! 🐝

Today we removed a wasp nest in Bournemouth - still very small (around twice the size of a golf ball), which is exactly what we’re starting to see at this time of year.

Now is the best time to deal with nests before they grow into a much bigger problem over the summer. What starts as a small nest in May/June can quickly turn into hundreds or even thousands of wasps by peak season.

🐀➡️ Clean, safe & fully restored loft space ✅

Another full rodent proofing and loft restoration completed by Ringwood Pest Control.

This property had an ongoing rodent issue caused by faulty drainage allowing rats access into the property. Here’s what we carried out:

Think your loft insulation is keeping your home warm? 🐭🤢

This loft was heavily contaminated by mice nesting in the insulation. Mouse droppings and urine can quickly spread throughout the loft space, contaminating the insulation and creating unpleasant odours and potential health risks.

A small gap can cause a big problem. 🐀

Here’s a perfect example of how rats are getting into properties. The drain pipe coming through the wall was never properly sealed by the builders, leaving enough space for rodents to enter the building cavity. Once inside, they climb through the cavity walls and nest in the insulation, contaminating it with droppings and urine.

We regularly find issues like this during rat investigations - especially in newer properties where pipe penetrations haven’t been sealed correctly.

If you’re hearing scratching in walls or loft spaces, don’t ignore it. The longer it’s left, the more damage and contamination can occur.
