Another successful sewage treatment plant installation completed this week by the DS Drainage team 💪💩

This one in Distington, Workington was a tricky like-for-like replacement due to the location of the existing tank and the limited working area – but we got it done and brought the system up to standard. ✅

💩 Old tank emptied by Septic Wizards before removal
🔨 Old tank peckered out and removed
🚛 All waste removed from site using grab wagon
💩 New 8-person sewage treatment plant installed
🧱 New tank surrounded with concrete
🔧 New inlet & outlet inspection chambers installed
💧 Outlet connected to the local watercourse
⚡ New 3-core electrical cable & fuse box installed to power the treatment plant
🌱 Site levelled and finished with 5 tonnes of graded topsoil
📄 All relevant documentation & certification supplied on completion

Another 8-person Marsh Industries sewage treatment plant has now been successfully installed in Knock, Appleby-in-Westmorland, and the customer couldn’t be happier with the finished result. ✅

This installation included:
✅ 8-person Marsh Industries sewage treatment plant
✅ New inlet and outlet inspection chambers
✅ 50 metres of new 100mm pipework
✅ New gully installation
✅ 3 new inspection chambers
✅ 27 metres of new electrical cable installed
✅ Dedicated weatherproof fuse box fitted for the treatment plant
✅ Tank fully encased in concrete
✅ Site cleaned, reinstated and left spotless
✅ Full compliance certification provided on completion 📋

The installation has been completed in accordance with the General Binding Rules and all relevant installation standards, giving the customer complete peace of mind for years to come. ♻️

Today we carried out two more compliance inspections across Cumbria.

📍 Blencarn – Great news! This system passed its compliance inspection and is operating as it should. 👍✅

📍 Lazonby – Unfortunately this system failed due to discharging directly into a natural watercourse and significant structural damage to the existing tank. ❌🌊

After carrying out a full assessment and discussing the options with the customer, they have requested a quote for a new sewage treatment plant installation. We are now in talks to get a brand-new, fully compliant system installed before they sell their property and move to America. 🇺🇸

We are absolutely flying with installations at the minute! 🚀 This will be our 3rd sewage treatment plant installation in just 2 weeks, with another installation starting in Distington on Monday morning. 💪
