Hi there, I know you love your dog! Just wanted to mention that with the extreme heat warning, vets are really urging people to avoid taking dogs out in extreme temperatures as they can suffer from heatstroke incredibly fast.

The RSPCA strongly advises walking dogs only in the early morning or very late evening during a heatwave. It’s important to keep them hydrated. Pavement Test: If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.

A friendly reminder that dialling 999 doesn't automatically summon a blue-light taxi to your front door! 🚨😂

Behind every emergency call is a team of incredible call handlers and control room clinicians who work their magic, asking the right questions and making sure you get the most appropriate help as quickly as possible. 🙌💚

Sometimes that help is an ambulance.

Sometimes it's advice, a referral, or another service that's actually better suited to what you need.

For urgent medical help that isn't life-threatening, consider:

Because while we love our ambulances... not every bumped elbow, paper cut, or toe-versus-coffee-table championship final needs a full blue-light response. 😉🚑

A beautiful reunion with Vinnie The Mouse Terminator.
Eat, Sleep and Slay! Vinnie remembered me for sure, followed me around everywhere with the odd present here and there!😕 Such a loving little fur ball. A really enjoyable stay looking after this chappy.🥰

Everyone looks forward to a nice sunny day, just remember that pavements can reach blistering temperatures that burn sensitive paw pads. Warmer and more humid weather provides prime conditions for fleas, ticks, and other parasites, making preventative care essential. Try getting the paddling pool out to keep your pets cool, shift walk times to early morn or late evening. Make sure your pets can rest and cool off.

Introducing Coco & Nelly (Mother and daughter). Coco on the left, Nelly on the right. I had the delight to look after these two over the past week. The bond between the two of them is touching. Mother washes Nelly's face and ears like she was a puppy still. They had their best time and sadly they returned home to their Mom & Dad who missed them so much. The joy to watch your furry friends reunited with their family is such a special memory.
