We’re trying something new! 🎥🫧

From next week we’ll be sharing Time-Lapse of the Week! A quick behind-the-scenes look at hot tub setups, repairs, deep cleans, and the jobs we get up to across Burton on Trent and the surrounding areas.

We thought it would be a fun way to show some of the work we do on a day-to-day basis. We also hope the videos will give people useful tips and confidence to carry out some of their own hot tub setups, cleaning, maintenance and simple repairs at home.

Well... this is definitely a first for us! 😂

Today's hot tub installation wasn't for a birthday, anniversary or weekend party... it was for a church in Ashbourne ahead of tomorrow morning's baptism. 🙏💦

We never imagined we'd be delivering what can only be described as a holy hot tub! 😇

We're genuinely honoured to have been asked to be part of such a special occasion, and we hope everyone has a wonderful morning tomorrow.

It just proves that our hot tubs really can be used for almost anything... although we think this one might be the most unique booking we've ever had! ❤️

6 Years in Business... and it all started with this photo ❤️

It's hard to believe that today we're celebrating 6 years of In The Tub Hot Tub Hire & Repair! 🥳

This photo was taken just three months into COVID. Like so many people, we'd bought ourselves a hot tub to help get through lockdown. We were on furlough, Homeschooling our daughter due to the school closures and unsure what the future held, wondering if we'd even have jobs to go back to.

On the journey to a weekend away in this glamping pod, something caught our eye... a hot tub hire van driving in front of us. That one moment sparked an idea..

That evening, sat around the campfire, we had a mad idea to start hiring out our hot tub. We never imagined it would become a real business. We certainly didn't think we would still be here doing what we do six years later. At the time, we were simply hoping to earn a little extra money during such an uncertain time.

As soon as we got home, we created our page... and the rest, is history.

Fast forward six years... 💙 Over 1,500 amazing customers, countless birthdays, anniversaries, proposals, family weekends and celebrations. Our business has grown beyond anything we ever imagined, expanding into repairs, servicing and maintenance too.

There have been long days, late nights, breakdowns, freezing winter collections, scorching summer deliveries, and plenty of challenges along the way. But we wouldn't change it for the world.

To every single person who has hired a hot tub, recommended us, shared our posts, left us a review, or simply supported our little family business... thank you. You have helped turn a conversation around a campfire into something truly special.

⚠️ A Word of Warning to Lay-Z-Spa Owners ⚠️

We've now had three Lay-Z-Spa pumps brought into our workshop after being purchased from a Facebook seller in the Derby area who claims to sell serviced and refurbished pump units.

In each case, the customers were told they were receiving a refurbished or serviced pump in exchange for their old pump plus £60. However, based on what we've found when inspecting them, the pumps showed no obvious signs of having been properly serviced. They were heavily soiled internally, and the customers experienced problems such as error codes and water leaks shortly after setting them up.

The latest customer simply wanted to enjoy his hot tub with his children over the weekend, only for it to be cut short by another faulty pump. As expected, their messages go unanswered.

We wanted to make people aware so they can make an informed decision before purchasing. We don't let a pump leave our workshop until the customer has seen it fully tested and working. Every refurbished pump is properly serviced and supplied with a warranty. If a problem does occur, customers can bring it straight back to us and we'll put it right.

There is a reason our pumps are priced the way they are. You're not just paying for the pump you're paying for the time, care and expertise that goes into refurbishing it properly, along with the reassurance of a genuine warranty and aftercare.

Please think carefully before choosing the cheapest option. A bargain isn't always a bargain if it ends up costing you more in the long run.
