Sunday morning on the tools… just a bit higher up than usual!🚁

This morning we carried out a drone survey in central Bristol to gather key data ahead of upcoming PPM gutter maintenance works.

Using our in house drone unit it allowed us to:
✔ Safely assess roof-level access without the need for immediate scaffolding
✔ Identify blockages, debris build-up, and potential defects within the guttering system
✔ Map out the most efficient and cost-effective access strategy for planned works
✔ Provide our client with clear visual evidence to support maintenance planning

This approach not only improves health & safety by reducing unnecessary working at height, but also ensures we deliver a well-structured PPM plan with no surprises once works commence.

Easter Monday Works

Easter Monday and the team are straight back at it.

Today marks the commencement of a full jetting, CCTV survey, and drainage mapping project for one of our clients in Taunton.

We’ve been instructed to carry out a complete clean and condition survey of both the storm and foul drainage systems across the site, followed by full mapping of the network for asset records and future maintenance planning.

Works include:
• Full high-pressure water jetting of storm & foul lines
• CCTV condition survey of all accessible pipework
• Drainage system mapping and asset recording
• Identification of any defects, connections, or maintenance requirements

Victorian Drainage Repair & Upgrade Completed

We recently carried out excavation works at a Victorian property to remove and replace an old broken siphon trap within the drainage system.

These old siphon trap systems were commonly installed in Victorian drainage to prevent sewer gases entering properties, however in modern drainage systems they are now largely redundant and can often cause more issues than they solve especially when they become damaged or blocked.

During our excavation we found the existing siphon trap to be broken and restricting flow within the system. We removed the trap system entirely and replaced this section with new straight PVC pipework, creating a more reliable and free-flowing drainage run in line with modern drainage standards.

The system was then tested and confirmed to be running clear and operating correctly.

Older drainage systems often hide problems like this underground, and many properties still have these outdated trap systems installed without the owners even knowing.

Handover Survey Completed ✅

Another drainage system successfully cleaned, inspected, and signed off for one of our valued clients.

Our team recently attended site to carry out a handover CCTV drainage survey on a newly installed drainage network. As part of the process, we first ensured the system was fully cleaned to remove any installation debris, allowing for a clear and accurate inspection of all pipework.

Following the clean, we carried out a full CCTV survey of the accessible drainage runs to verify that the system had been installed correctly, with no defects, obstructions, or issues that could cause problems further down the line.

The results confirmed the drainage network is fully serviceable and operating as intended, allowing the system to be officially signed off and handed over with confidence.

Handover surveys like this are an essential step in ensuring new drainage infrastructure meets expected standards before being brought fully into service.

🚨 When the call came in… we weren’t expecting this. 🚨

We were contacted by a local nightclub following reports of multiple blocked and broken toilets.

Standard call-out, we thought.
Blocked pans. Maybe a bit of paper build up.
In and out. Job done.

We could not have been more wrong.

On arrival we were greeted with:
