Howdy Folks,
So due to Pollutions of rivers, waterways, streams, lakes, reservoirs, canals etc.
Water companies will soon be walking communities and looking out for 'Misconnected household appliances'.
This could be a waste pipe coming from the kitchen going into a rainwater storm pipe. Toilet plumbed into the wrong drain. Even boiler pipes connected to Rainwater pipework.
What this means is ensuring that your waste is going into the right drainage systems.
You have several system types but in relation to domestic properties which are Foul water, Storm water or combined.
If not on the mains it will go to a tank of some kind.
In my opinion they are more likely to go to places where water is close by in big quantities first, i.e, lakes and reservoirs, clean water. But you never know.
The issue is wastewater going into storm systems. Even stone type soakaways in your garden can clog up and stop working too, (Had a few of them jobs in the past too)
I am happy to carryout corrective work for these problems and I've already got loads lined up later.
It involves rerouting waste pipes, digging up/Excavations and trenching to the correct drains/gullies etc.
Consideration for these things early on can save later when they know it has to be done quickly.
Companies doing dig ups are often months ahead booked up with work.
Some home survey reports more often these days will check all drainage and will identify these faults which may mean taking longer to sell as it will need rectifying or the new home owner is inheriting that issue and knock the price down to reflect the costs.
Happy to use CCTV and identify any issues drainage related, Happy to come round and do a consultation to assess if any of the above is the case. The trouble with drainage is it's all good until it goes wrong suddenly.
If anyone wants to add to this feel free. Any questions just ask. :)
